I am afraid I am the bearer of tradgic and devestating news.
Last Monday night/Tuesday night, David Preston aka Fray from this forum, was tradgically killed as a result of a road traffic accident. I was with him until late in the night, I left early as I had work the next day. We had a great night, doing what most people on here do best, having a drink and playing the machines, this all pales into insignificance. I was contacted at work and informed of this tradgic news today.
I know most people on this forum knew Dave and respected him as a long standing player and user of this forum. I know everyone will join me in mourning his death and even though his friends or family will probably not read this, my sincerest best wishes go to his family in coming to terms with the loss of a great guy.
RIP Dave

I made this thread sticky as lot of people will have known him.
My thoughts are with his family and friends, he was a good guy and too young to die.
May you rest in peace.
Why has it come to this?
That is shocking news. My thoughts are definitely also with his family and friends, and the other forum members here. I am very sad to hear about this.
That is real tradgic. Dont really know him from here as not posted much, but my thoughts go to his family and friends im sure he will be dearly missed by everyone.

rip david he will be very much missed by all of us
Sad News, didn't really know him personally but read a lot of his posts around the forums. Thoughts go to his family and friends.
Any time you aggressively play seven deuce off suit, the universe will bend the laws of short term probability in order to re-balance the long term probability abuses by those trashy players who only play premium hands
I knew Dave Preston quite well through gambling and school.
He was hit by a taxi driver as he was at a crossing in Watford.
It's very tragic, he was finishing University in a few weeks and had a good life ahead of him, it was taken too easily.
You probably all chatted to him about gambling.
Gambling aside, he was a good person.
I am going to his funeral today at 11:00am.
hi just signed in to have a look who's been ripping me this week lol
and seen the tragic news posted.
my heart goes out to his family and freinds and im sure the same goes for everyone on here.

video roulette more enjoyable than giving the dog a boot when it shits in the house !!!
yeah RIP Fray. sad story indeed.!
I (quite insensitively), won't miss his begging emails and PM's to my inbox though chuckle.. hit by a taxi you say? what are the odds of that.? he was a gambler though..
<not meaning to offend... a bit of light hearted humour in the morning always gets me going while the coffee machine warms up..>
He'll be missed................it's people like Fray that keep this forum above all the other "dross" out there.
My thoughts go out to his family![]()
