I rent a maygay fruit machine (Heaven and Hell) and recently a pair of kids managed to put the machine into freeplay mode without opening the cash doors.. does anyone know how to prevent this or how it is done? The only clue I have is that they use a 'tool' be it a magnet or something and do something to the machine that is below the height of the main game buttons...
thanks
EVen if its in free pay it wont payout real money will it? Dont that need the hopper dump button pressing?
Anyways I assume its some sort of pressure switch to detect if the door is open so I suppose you can wedge one part of the door enough to release this and make it think the door is open.
Why has it come to this?
yeah i know some kids who do this often, they wedge a bottle cap in the machines cash door but it only works on some machines, i tried it once and got barred lol
Ahh... I see, everything makes sense now... well.. I changed the machine anyway and now I know what to look out for... thanks
It wont payout any money but it is easy to say "Hey look, it didnt payout my £13 in the bank etc etc"
how much is it to rent a machine?
I think pubs pay about £720 for a years rent (Brewery pay this as far as i know).
The landlords only get to keep 33% of the profit if they are a chain though.....33% goes to the brewery, and the other 33% goes to the machine owner (Leisure Link et al.) Not sure on the cuts if it's a privately owned pub. So unless it's a really busy pub with a big money cycle, profits aren't really that great!
For those smart arses who say that only adds up to 99%, i haven't got a clue what happens to the other 1%!![]()
There wasn't another 1%. Think of it like this.
3 men go into a bar for a soft drink.
They order 3 cokes and each hand over £1.
The round comes to £2.60 so there is 40p change. The barmaid takes a 10p tip (she feels cheeky) so there is 30p change left.
Each of the men then gets 10p back each. So each man paid £1 and got 10p change, so each man has paid 90p each.
So 3 men pay 90p each which is £2.70 and the barmaid took a 10p tip which comes to £2.80...so where did the other 20p go????

Don't know about that....£2.60 doesn't even divide by three though! Whoever wrote that one needs a good kicking either wayOriginally Posted by a1056688

It doesn't have to divide by 3. They didn't all have the same drink.
2 x cokes at 90p
1 x orange at 80p
