There's a lot of talk about unchipped machines on here. What does it mean?![]()
There is a machine in a local pub by me, quiet place, hardly gets played, but we hit it every 2 weeks on a Wednesday and it drops £50 minimum. I can't even remember what it is called but you get the very top feature and it lights up various amounts- seen as money notes at the top of the machine and stops on one at a time- each go costs 25p but we get £50 from it minimum. I assume that this machine is 'unchipped'?
It also puts you back on the feature board if you lose a gamble or get lose on a mystery if you hold the cancel button- plus, it puts you back up were you ended the last game, so if you had £3 it would ligt back up to £3. Must be a fault- is this what you mean by unchipped?
cheers
John
The machine you are playing sounds similar to Legal Tender as that is whats doing the rounds at the mo. I could be wrong there was a lot of older machine that had a similar top feature
When people say unchipped they are talking about the first program release of a machine.
i.e if someone says they have found an unchipped Dosh and Pecks fruity it means the program on it is the original one that was first released and certain methods/MTR/Tricks still work on it. Companies like Barcrest ( especially Barcrest) release a program which may have a flaw when they find out that the machine is taking a beating all over they release a new program to over come any of these flaws. This is when people say it has been chipped
Hope that helps
