I have seen these going on e-bay are these really worth it?
Mate i think ur talkin about refill keys,
there not much use just let u turn the volume up and mabee tell u last bank and
hopper balance depend on the machine.
I bought 1 for £1.50 about 3 years ago and to be quite truthfull it was money well spent cause it allways worth checking out the ballance of a machine if it lets u, but ur not going to win with it.
Well i am geting one for £1 so i might aswell. i no your not going win but you are more likely to go on a machine that has a 'fuller' hopper then another or one that is just payed out less then another.Originally Posted by sheeks
I will get it then.lol
The only real use for a refill key I find nowadays, as i judge the playability of the machine based on how its actually player, is when playing a machine in a busy pub and am out for the night, for example I have an Abra in one of my night spots, and dependant on how much I put in, i'll either force or get a quick fast cash, or even put 3 in 3 out. I'll key it then and come back if I have seen someone play it, check how much more has gone back in (or come out in some instances) and if say 10+ has been lost, try a board.
Dave
i always think using a refill key is too risky as 90% of pub workers etc dont know it cant do anything
Using a refill key to *refill* a machine is the best use it has.
Confucius say "man who know wombat know more than stupid looking monkey"
Confucius also say "man who know Kebab has 60 inch waist"
Confucius finally add "man may deal, but man may not 'know' deal"
I still think they are quite useful to be honest.
Occasional pain in the arse when they get stuck !!
Top tipif you want to key a machine and it looks a bit risky... pub staff/customers close by etc, bung a 1p or 2p coin in, and when you reach in to get the coin out the tray, key it then.
The only reason i use one is to refill, or check the balance when doing an mt,noy much use these days.
hiya, if the hopper balance is o, does this mean it will pay out soon? as i tried one the other day, and it wasn't giving me anything
We seem to be going over the same stuff time and time again here.
You CAN NOT use the hopper balance as an accurate way to determine if a machine is going to pay out.
