    Default Spring is sprung...

So here we have some warmer weather at last...

However, this brings problems in itself, especially how to carry decent amounts of pound coins without wearing a coat when doing the rounds!!!!!! Especially as a non-driver, and someone who likes to carry a decent kitty, this always poses a problem, as the holes in many of my jeans will testify!!!!

Anyone know how to get round this????

Change them for notes and change them back as and when is required.

Not only will this make your pockets lighter it also makes you look less suspect in the so called "old mans pub" by asking for change during play.

Good advice, only downside i can see is if your ( now depleted) coin float runs out in some moody place where they say they have no pound coins in the till.... could genuinely not have any also.

Not such a problem if you have motor parked nearby with back-up float, but potentially painful if you are on foot.

Thomas Sorenson..... please fcuk off and never return..........

I sense bitterness in your tounge Dave.

Gregory is the problem, he is almost as boring as Steve McClaren.

It doesnt help that all your players are shite.

You can have Ehiogu back if you want. He is now surpluss to requirements at the Riverside and you lot look like you need him.

Apologies (very tired), I meant O'Leary.

He is a miserable twat, always has been, always will be!

    They look the same anyway!

Most machines take notes nowadays so you don't always need a big float.

And can i just say watch out because Derby are on there way UP

I tend to just fill a couple of £20 bags to £40 as so they are held tightly and dont rattle.. Of course this can weigh down the pockets but I havea sturdy jacket I usually wear and its not really a problem.

As for notes.. well I prefer not to play with them as it cant be very hard to tell how full a machine is then.. of coruse they rarely start backing if they have note acceptors but its always nice to play with pound coins... definatly always use coins on a machines that is emptiable... I dont think anyone would be stupid enough to use notes on a emptiable machine though, would they?
Why has it come to this?

If a machine has a note accepter but is unavailable what do you make of that? Does it only take so many notes as to not empty the machine of coins or does it not accept them as it's low on coins?

Maybe i should start a new post for this but i heard something on arcadia and somewhere else about monopoly. Is this true?

Forget about Monopoly, its ancient and 99.99% need not apply!

As for note changers. Most machines with note acceptors have a £250 float although not all.

As a result, the note acceptor is disabled when the float is under £125 so if the note acceptor light is off, its either got less that £125 in it or has been disabled.

Depending on the type of acceptor, faulty devices are usually illustrated with a red cross.
