    Default Playing them where?

So where do u all play, or prefer playing, fruit machines?

    Pubs?
    Clubs?
    Bookies?
    Arcades?

I personally never bother with bookies as the atmosphere + surroundings are disgusting. Even the local arcade doesnt have as many low lives trying to win their rent money back.

They all operate different software & i was just wondering what differences you can see and if its actaully worth going to the bookies.

Arcades pay out more frequent JPs and less streaks? or is the other way round? bookies streak more often? pubs pretty standard programs?

    cheers

mostly pubs and depending on how drunk im getting clubs sometimes, cant stand playing in either the bookies or an arcade. never like the feeling i got from playing in the bookies, may sound strange but i always felt uneasy and the local arcades near me aint of the greatest standard

Just do the pubs on my nights out round the town. Manage to keep a hold of things after a few drinks now too.

I agree about the pubs.. the atmosphere is just nicer. Especially in a nice chain pub with cheap beer.

who said alcohol and fruitys dont mix?? lol

Doesnt really matter where the machine is if its turning over a regular profit does it?
Why has it come to this?

    I agree with Scotty.

I couldnt really care less what the atmosphere is like. I'm not usually planning on spending half the day in there.

Pubs and Bookies proove the most profitable for me for the simple fact that Arcade players usually have a little bit more about them than pub and bookie players and as a result I often find things dead in the arcade. Again I dont really plan on playing machines when going for a drink. Im either out working on the machines or i'm not, simple as that.

I understand how some people find the attraction of getting there drinks paid for from the machines but the way I see it is that from a proper days playing, its quite easy to pay for 10 nights out and as a result cant really be bothered with the hassle of messing about annoying people and being unsociable when out with friends or family for a drink.

P.S Bookies have poor surroundings you say, some pubs arent up to much of a standard either I can assure you.

It all depends on what type of player you are. a1056688 for instance plays to make big money so therefore doesn't care where he is making it work is work. Then theres people who know a bit not to lose but just play for a bit of money on the side and don't make special trips out just to play them.

So what sort of player do you all class yourself?
    - Casual player out for a few ££ plays machines you come across.
    - Full Time Pro player will go and find the right machines whatever.

How many hours do you think you all play a week?

    I think i play under 10 hours a week.

Playing fruit machines for 'fun' is a very expensive hobby.

Personally I dont care where a machine I am playing is.. as a smoker the smoking doesn't bother me so as long as no ones hassling me I couldnt care less where it is.

The only thing which does concern me/make me nervous is some local/town/'rough' pubs where a large win on fruit machines can really attract unwanted attention.. In these places I always get a few drinks in first an sit down for a while near the bar so staff dont see me as just the guy who comes in to do the machine.. Then after half hour go over and start to play and 'look bored' if there is such a thing.. May sound stupid but believe me the pub my uchipped King Kebab (yes, still) is in is not a friendly place at all so have to be careful. Of course if it ever came to being threatened I would just hand over the money and walk away.. I am not someone who is up for getting a beating or a stabbing over some free money.
Why has it come to this?

Arcade players Just seem to ruin it for the sake of not letting you get the run OR to make it non profitable to 'set it off' on certain emptiers! Lotta luck, cash attack etc

Those bods p155 me off - theres always 1 on every run i used to have!

I agree Scott, its not worth the bother of getting a beating over an unchipped KK, although it has happened to me once before on believe it or not an unchipped KK in a dodgy Kebab house near Stoke on Trent.
