Default Wombat - Stole Refill Key?!

Anyone know of machines locking refill keys into place? Put mine into a Wombat today and turned it.. Just showed 'Refilled Amount: £0' or someshit.. grrrrr...

Worse of all it then wouldnt release my key.. me and my mate tried everything there was no way it was releasing it had to walk away in the end. Of course I aint bothered about a £2 key just weird I thought? Simple lock fuckup or someway to deter people from keying?

Was funny more than annoyig just wondering if anyone has an insight on it..
Why has it come to this?

Nah key was fine.. just felt that if I had pulled it any harder it would have pulled the lock mech out as well.. definatly not a good idea so I just got out of there

perhaps someone funny had put something like timebond or some other really strong but slow setting glue in there. like the amusing gang of barry's round here that took to spilling coke all over the nudge button on doshballs.

    Scotty

    Do you use it regularly?

I often have difficulty getting mine out (no pun intended) when it hasnt been used for a while.

Sometimes have to stand there for several minutes before it comes out.

Ive found that in some machines you can put the key in but it won't turn, but it always come out ok. Try the same machine next time and see what happens.

On some machines, it wont show if it has already been keyed, KK was one, once had to snap the key, because it got stick in the lock, shame really i had that key since i started.

    Default key

have been at the point of leaving my key in there a few times, happens most of the time when the lock turns all the way round, have always managed to get it out though by just pulling and turning it slowly.

    old locks maybe?

the reason it said "refill = 0" was because the hopper was full?

if no other options where available then the machines "refill inhibit dil" was switched into the on posistion.
