Banned For Winning?!?!

Hi guys,

As the thread title says, my local arcade told me today they were considering not letting me play their machines because i win too much!
I was a bit shocked really. They asked me if i was a pro, to which my reply was a definite no, i'm a student for gods sake.
I've managed to win about £500 this week out of 5 £25 JP machines (JJC,Jolly Roger,Super Pool,Hulk & GGG) and the woman said all the staff had noticed me, and were keeping an eye on me from now on.
The amount of people i see go in there and just waste £25-30 in half an hour is the main reason i keep going back to the same ones. Most of them haven't got a clue, and the machines usually streak or heavily pay out every 2 days or so

I was told this right after i spanked GGG for a good £60 profit, and apparently according to them i must be cheating because no-one has ever won that much off their fruities before. I tried explaining how i win so much, but they weren't really having it.

Surely it makes no difference to them who wins their money. The machines will make it back over time. Just because i know what i'm doing doesn't mean i should be kicked out, that would be like me asking them for a refund if i lost £50! Seems rich to me, happy if people lose all their money in there, but can't hack it if people win some.

What do you lot reckon? Do arcades have codes regarding stuff like this? I'm a bit pissed off, seems feckin unfair!

You hit some streaks and get barred? Ridiculous - I don't touch arcades for this reason tbh, they are shocking places all the times I've been to 1.

As you say though, unless you are using an mtr, surely the staff aren't so idiotic as to not realise % will hit it back?

However if you are sharking...

Never been barred or anything like that, must'nt be winning enough...

That's the reason i was shocked, glad you can see my side of it. I only use what i know on the machines, just those ones are easy reads, and will usually go for a lot after about the £5 block, which is my general rule for a force on them (esp gimme/JJC). They are going to make their money back, so i don't know what their boggle is really. OK some poor sod will lose £40 odd before the machines get any decent play in them, but that's their problem and they shouldn't put all that in if it ain't playing.

I'll admit i shark people too, but if you catch a glimmer of some guy shoving £30 in and getting nothing, your obviously going to get in there for the steal. You can't tell me you don't shark people fray, it's the killer for any good gambler surely!

Sometimes i'll go and stick a few £ in so no-one can play a machine, even if im playing something else. If any staff come over, i just go and use a few spins up. I've seen other people do it and not get bollocked, so i don't see why i shouldn't. It's probably why they hate me so much at the mo!

Go to a proper arcade like Nobles or John Nobles (his brother, different company but looks exactly the same) or Shipleys, Quicksilver etc...

Highly unlikely you will be banned for winning in those chains. (As long as you dont use illegal techniques)

Wondered why they kept that microwave device i had

Mainstream locations certainly shouldn't have any rules about you winning (legally off course), although doesn't always apply to "back street" locations which need more of your cash for the rent

The arcade is a Nobles!

Not been using any illegal methods, just knock back, over compensator and usual forcing styles. It's crazy, there is nothing illegal about doing any of those. I don't have a refill key, and all of their refill slots appear to be blocked until the machine is opened.
Will have to wait and see, and maybe i won't win so much in the future, but last week was so easy to win it was unreal.

Perhaps you should "lose" next few visits ?

If small arcade then not easy but i have had similar problems in past, simply win/collect your cash on the quiet and keep going up for change as if losing not winning - never cash up in the arcade as this is the most obvious way of letting them know your good fortune.

If not possible simply get a mate to "shark" you by leaving a credit/bank in and let him go on after you to an amazing streak he collects the cash and you look like the loser - only worth doing when big bank ie mpt
