Hi guys, just thought i'd sign up to what looks like a good forum!
I'm Matt, and i live in York. I'm a bit of an addict to UK AWP fruities, been playing them for a good 9/10 years now (bearing in mind i'm only 19, it's not a bad effort!)
Anyway, after lots of scrolling through, i thought id ask what peoples views are on machines by extreme?
I play a lot in the Nobles in york, and there is a super pool and jolly roger there. I've read peoples comments, and there seems to be a lot of peeps saying to avoid them?
I'm going to disagree.....they are so easy to read! You can tell when they are playing or not down to the usual indicators. On jolly roger, a good one is skill bonus -> grid run, seeing where it runs you to.
On super pool, the usual white ball super board does it for me, along with a few other pointers.
I've never been stung on them, and that's playing them for a good 9 months. Forced the super pool for £140 odd today (JP, pot black £50, JPR, extras) before it died. Can usually do the samesort of win on Jolly Roger, though i think the streak profile might be tighter, never had more than £70 off it.
Obviously i 'll only play them on those conditions, otherwise they can seriously harm your wallet.
Any thoughts?![]()
I agree a force at the right time (e.g. full and not just been refilled) can prove profitable.
I regularly force Super Pool for £100+ and Double Dragon gave me £100 last friday (£50 + JP off bonus twice).
However, they can prove costly if just been hit and usually cost £70 to force anyway (even when offering £10 first board). As a result, because of the amount required to force many ppl like to stay clear.
P.S Welcome to gambling.co.uk, not keen on York myself, everything is always dead when I visit, however, the back roads from York to Helmsley have prooved profitable for me in the past.

Yeah it's not a great place for a gamble. There's another arcade called Gilly's, but its cack and has no machines i'd even like to try and force again. Once cost me £60 for a £25 super notes off a JPM 'Fruit Machine'![]()
Maybe i'm just a spawny git then, i've never had to put more than £40-50 in for a top feature on either. I think experience is key though, played them so many damn times i can usually tell when to go for it or not. Cost about £60 odd today, but that was a longer play and for more (£140ish)
There's also a Jumpin' Jack Cash there too. I stick to those 3, the others are Maygay Italian job - i see a guy regularly get 3-4 JPs off this, he knows when to do it every time. I can't read it at all, plays like a shit most of the time.
BFG Hulk - nuff said, another piss poor BFG machine
Gimme Gimme Gimme - OK for quick takings, not worth any more
On JJC it's an easy reader too. Backing from first £1 the other day, offered crazy pays which i refused....next shot £25. Straight in again, Streak in red (£19). Another in, fast cash for £12. Then it died out. Another easy one to play if you know the signs IMO.
I've also seen a hybrid called Abracadbra (plays like shite mainly) but made by QPS instead of mazooma? They bought them out recently?
Actually while i'm about, i wonder if anyone has any pointers![]()
The other arcade in York i've never won lots out of. I only play fruiites, and the ones they have in there are:
JPM 'Fruit Machine'
Spiker The Biker
BFG Monopoly
Beaver Las Vegas
Supercharged
Tubular Bells
Phoenix Knights
Lockbuster
I know that spiker and supercharged have playing methods, which i've read and know about. I'd imagine they are both chipped, seeing as both are getting on a bit now. Never won a great deal of either really.
Monopoly, Tubular Bells - Usual BF rubbish
Lockbuster - I've played the prize is right (£82) and easy streak (£75) and done well. It takes a hell of a lot of pushing to force, and blocks like a bugger most of the time. The streaks too random too, can go for anything.
Now, does anyone know what the streak profiles are like on the others?I've tried many times to crack them, but never got much more than evens back. I don't want a players guide or cheats, just an honest answer if anyone knows if they play well.
Cheers
Matt
as you mention spiker the biker.. what was the method to guarantee £75 on the hi/lo notes (or £45 on £15 version).. not seen one in ages.. just asking out of curiousity
Why has it come to this?
Hi Scott,
Mate of mines dad owns an arcade in Whitby, so naturally he's well up on his tricks. All i've been told is that the method for Spiker is an over compensator method on IM boards to force the machine well below %. Obviously it needs to be happy first. Been assured it works a treat on older versions. Can't imagine there'll be many left in 2005, but you never know!
I've never seen the super notes go for more than £40 in that arcade, and can't for the life of me think whether its a £15 or £25 JP. There used to be a 25p/£15JP psycho cash beast in there too....probably why i'm thinking it's a £15 one.![]()
I'll try and find out more if i can
Matt
Matt
You're neglecting to tell them that Gillys arcade also has a Sevens Heaven, an Empire monkey climber and a nice 5p play Andy Capp!![]()
And the staff aren't too bad at letting on info if you;re nice to them.
Best machine in Nobles is the Roll Up, Roll Up if you;ve tried the force for the reds (not mixed streak) can cost upwards of £60 but usually nets £100+ if backing from the start.
Oh, and I know I haven't posted much before but I have been around for a while and enjoyed all your banter!![]()
Good site all round this one!
Ha! quite right
A great old Skool Andy Capp and hyper viper i think. Back to the 90s there, reminds of road hog and other classic machines.![]()
Tend not to play roll up, can be a right tight bastard to read at times. Seems it can go at the drop of a hat for anything, so i tend to stick to the fruities.
Made another £80 today too, top feature, JP and afters on jolly roger, followed by a cheeky £55 off Italian job. Don't really like sharking people, but this guy had it coming for him!![]()
I'm a lucky sod, think i must have made about £350 odd in the last 4 weeks. Shouldn't be gambling with loan money, but when your on a hot streak like this you can't feckin help it!
