An article in the local paper (and a mate of mine who works in the pubs) states that a group of 3 20-something lads are going round the pubs emptying fruit machines with 'a laser device'.

Big news here, if caught probably jail.

Must be bullshit, but some of the m/c's don't have mtr's afaik, like Rolling Thunder, Fruit U Sir etc etc. Wonder what they are doing?

Making me think twice about trying Crazy Trails in a very quiet back bar on Friday...(any idea how much to force for red board?)

Is Cash Explosion the same as Bedazzled btw? Is SOI red lines?

And can anyone confirm the SRM red boxes auto nudge actually worked? 1 over here, and nowt.

Unlikely to be a laser device. The light beam which is used to count the falling coins used to be unshielded and there was a way to trick it into not counting the coins so they would just keep falling out of the hopper... Now days they are obviously fully covered and it would be very difficult to get a light/laser to hit the diode properly although I am not saying it is impossible.. maybe if combined with a tiny amount of drilling it would be easier. What is more probable is strimming the note mech if it has one as it seems these are susceptable to several attacks. Certain ways of making it register note than not being able to fully store it thus reject are particulary easy to do.

Interfering with micro or RF waves would be very complex indeed and a hand hold 'multi purpose' device would almost certainly stand no chance of doing anything. One idea that I have heard is using microwave beams to trigger the coin mech into dispensing coins by exicting its power matrix somehow.. how exactly this would work I am unsure as my physics grades were not to good :P

Fray if i were you id lay lo for a few months just untill this goes out of landlords minds cause they will no doubt be parionied about anyone who plays a machine and wins more than a fiver and it could end up in getting a lot of unnecassary barrings or even a few hours in the cells untill the police realise that you have not been winning on machines by using a half empty packet of cigs and a zippo lighter.

Can someone clarify either way about this Daz Watts bloke? Does he exist, is he dead? Or just more Arcadia dribble?

Trust me if the devices i bought are the ones being used all they will win nothing i promise. Mine was from Daz and its tucked away in a drawer now with a load of other junk.

I just wish id read this site before wasting me money though by the sounds of it most people had never tried it. Well at least we have concrete proof its crap now.

They are highly illegal and you risk being barred from every pub in the area and a jail sentence if you get caught. It's just blatent stealing.

Anyone who can regularly make money from playing would be stupid to by any laser / rod device wether they work or not.

You wouldn't believe if i told you i bought it purely for testing so i won't pretend but this device actually got me playing machines. It is now my aim to become a half decent player and im now a lot more clued up than your average munter player just through reading these pages.
