I've not been a fan of Reds from the start, but I'm playing them more and more these days. I refer to Jackpot Genie and clones...the thing that I just can't suss is when to quit. Last few plays have seen various machines give lot's of red features on the board...usually a good sign. I've had mixed results...last machine I played was offering loads of red features, but the cash gamble was having none of it once you got to £2. I lost a ridiculous amount of times trying to get past £2. Other times I take the red feature and get say...£8-15 off it and the machine seems dead for another £10 in giving 'normal' features with just one or two red features, but then the thing comes to life again. I've had times where you play over a prolonged period and slowly make a profit and others where it's stone cold dead after one JP ore equivalent feature. Questions are...if you start getting a succession of red features is that the 'streak'? Can it chuck just one red feature board at you out of the blue just to pay a % leveller then die? I also had ALL red features lit once which awarded big money on the first exchange feature point...that's got to be a streak indicator? (It died after that) Just don't know when to call it quits...e.g. mate plays first and starts getting red features..he banks upto £40. He has to go so I went on and got another £38 for about £25 in...slow profit as said before. Trouble is it just didn't look that promising when I was playing..just the odd good feature. I came off and a guy takes another £40 or so out off more red madness.
By the way...you can obviously see I've yet to hit my first infamous red 'dead patch'.
Confucius say "man who know wombat know more than stupid looking monkey"
Confucius also say "man who know Kebab has 60 inch waist"
Confucius finally add "man may deal, but man may not 'know' deal"
if you've not had the £14 for a board 3, lower, 2, lose routine then you're one lucky bastard
i look for a decent number of red features then see where the block is at. if its at the £7/10 mark then i'll consider forcing, playing for hidden features, taking quick profit or the contents of mystery box x
cant honestly say ive hard and fast rules here, but i have been making decent sums off them recently. its almost an intuitive thing.
as an example - i declined to go 50/50 with a mate on a particular red this weekend after we'd already taken a fair amount off it. £4 in he asks "are you sure", "yep, im sure. cat see any life in it" £6 later and he gets a straight JP
same happened to my mate and me, was on crazy cobra took a jp from 3 pound each was happy. i played on for a bit and after about 4-6 pound in it he said you want me to go 50/50 and ill but the next 4-6 pound in. i said give it abit longer next pound i got cc and it went for 50. my mate was pissed. but he was still up from jp so cudnt moan.
i normaly dont like going 50/50 unless its a machine which i think going 50/50 with a said person will benifit myself.
Reds can be good when they want to be but can be equally if not more savage when they are dead, take Crazy Cobra, I have put 33 in for a board which offered 2 quid. In response to Red Features, if half are going red then its worth pushing, if u dont want to push then take high value red features until dead. When they all go red then the random 50-125 is not 2 far away.
Anything can be good when it wants to be........... Yes, even a WildSide which is horrific 90% of the time.
Do these have an IM mode?
not as such it just normaly put you on a board with all red features and then you high and low for top feature eg funfair.
Reds are so hard to read, i never touch them tbh as no idea what the signs are, been stung for the £20 board far too often...
So red features upon entry the sign? More than half red = force? Posting at 4am wtf?
Loads of these here, CC and JG...any quick wins there?
Top....

fray a good sign for reds isnt just the fetures going red as ive seen a entire red board and it didnt give it, ive also had one with half reds and got 75 from it. im afraid the best way is to actaully play it, reds often go on 4 and jack's so if you getting either far with these or better numbers id think of taking atleast a good win if you dont force it.
if you need any more knowledge of any of the older red gaming machines give me a shout ill be happy to help. no methods or anything like that but i can help with features ect...
