    Hiya everyone.

I have been playing fruit machines for a couple of months now. I wouldn't class myself as a "Pro" or even "semi". I am learning everyday just like everyone else on here. However, I have only recently discovered the correct "terms" and furthered my knowledge by reading people's postings on this site uses, regarding fruit machines. I have never attempted to "force" a machine, nor have I ever noticed a machine to be "backing". I have read many of the site's posts with regards to these and other terms, so please don't think I'm being ignorant with anything I write in this post or any other posts.

    1) Say if my dollars that I throw in to a machine drop onto a pile of coins that sounds like it is towards the back of the machine, what does this mean? I may sound like I'm daft, but I just can't tell when a machine is backing (hence, me writing into the newbies section - no disrespect to anyone!!). Please forgive my ignorance but would someone explain to me what "backing" is, in dummy terms?!?

    2) Please would someone be able to tell me how much on average you would throw into any random machine you came across to decide if you are going to carry on playing it? Also any other signs you would like out for, ie. for streaks, Jackpots etc? I usually decide on whether I am going to play on from how many bonuses, or nudges a machine is offering after I throw in £3-5 (unless I am being daft and decide to throw more in)

    3) How much do you usually have to "force" a machine by (in £'s!!), if it is "backing"? Also to "force" a machine, do you turn down everything it may other you, excluding obvious things like Jackpots etc?? Even if it kills me whilst on the board, should I still play on the next time I am on the board until it kills me again, until I eventually win a decent amount of cash or feature? (unless of course, it just keeps on killing me!)

I do not wish to be given any hints or tipson a how to play any particular machine, as I enjoy and prefer to play machines to learn more things about them myself. However, I would appreciate any feedback anyone would be willing to offer me. And any queries that anyone else may have that I feel I could contribute a decent reply to, I will do my best to return the favour.

    Thanks alot guys,

    Brian[/b]

Put a coin into the machine which is NOT a pound coin and listen to the noise it makes in the bottom box, it will be a coin landing on a pile of other coins, or into a metal box. Then when you hear the same noise when it IS a pound coin, it is backing.

It is up to you to decide wheather it is worth playing, once I had 6 blasts on a cash stack, expecting £6, got £15 out of the blue. Took it and left. Today played a VIU and had £3 on the nudges, it was backing but not playing well, then one nudge, £10, took it once again.

When a machine is backing £20 is the average to force with, but have more just in case, there is nothing worse than filling a machine for some cu*t to JP/streak! Don't force a dead machine (when someone has taken a sh*t load out!)

There are basic answers for you

I wasn't referring to a full-out force, but £20 when backing usually gets a JP, obviously not always as then you would make £5 profit for every machine. Why don't you answer the question? :P

    Ok then smart arse.

If a machine is backing, everyone will agree...the machine is full. (whether this is through people playing it or from a refloat)

Either way you are not guaranteed to make a profit if you force it. Even less chance if its been refloated.

It will all depend on how far its % is off its target, when the last JP was, and the amount in the streak compensator.

Generally speaking, if you are forcing a machine it is general logic that you have an increased chance of making a profit if it is backing because the machine is deemed to be full.

How much it takes to force a machine is down to all these factors PLUS the main factor...MANUFACTURER. Barcrests have traditionally been much easier and kinder on a force than say a Bellfruit where, Despite a possible streak of over £110, you are far more likely to put in more than 40 quid for just one JP. (From backing)

Therefore, its difficult to answer your question with a straight answer BECAUSE of the many affecting factors mentioned above and it would be dangerous to assume an 'average' forcing amount when backing.

If I had a gun to my head....From experience, I'd say on average I'd be alright with putting £40 in when forcing a machine from backing because I would be hoping for the £50, £75 or more streak. If only one JP came tumbling my way, id accept it, and walk. Or I'd use my knowledge of the streak cycles and plan my visits to the locations in co-ordination with the 'expected streak time'

I know its not a plain and simple answer, but its not that black and white.

Hope it helps though!! and EVIL SATAN... Happy now?

ALSO.. If I knew I was oign to force a machine, I'd never go into a location with less than a £60 float to hand.

    Expect to pay more aswell!

think i should also mention red gaming. and there fake backing. sounds like you play in usa playa_69 so im not sure about the situation of red gaming over there but be where of the fake backing and when they are on the take. but catch them right and you can find yourself having a 75 pound streak easy.
