Havn't posted on here for a while...

Used to look at it ten times a day at work almost religiously...

I was an addict, addicted whatever you want to call it. Im only 19 and when out with mates they could maybe double there £2/£3 change so i thaught wow get into this...

I was working full time, never have i had so much money... "to spare"
I estimate probably £4-5k in 6/8 months i wasted, used to go to the pub on my own and plough my money in... Yeah i knew a few tricks and shit but even then you arent guaranteed to win. Yeah you may get a streak but hey what dou you do with all the money? £75 in ound coins... count em and then spend em tomorrow somewhere else... its pitiful

Granted to the people who CAN make aliving out of it i respect that, dont get stuck in a dead end job...

But dont get drawn in either, play with what you can afford. And dont chase losses. The depresion is the worst, im 19 i didnt need that!!

I got myself the IJ2 at home and promised myself i wouldnt ever go on one in the "wild" well i dont even use mine never mind look at any in the wild now, i watch people and think "what a loser" for wasting so much money...

I dont work now, i am at college, every penny counts - literally!
And to think of all that money i wasted makes my heart sink.

It's ok though its over now...
    Thank god!

Sorry for rambling just wanted to share my story

    Regards
    Mike

    Personally i:

    Count them,
    Change them (optional),
    BANK them.

We all lost money learning the ropes, its necessary in order to improve your skills. If you feel you are not capable of winning it back then you have made the correct decision.

Those that like to taunt players with the "your all addicts who lose in the long run" phrase, are those who are either jealous are who act on their own experiences to predict the fortunes of others.

I hope you are following the rules by promoting www.gambling-guide.co.uk on your website?

Oh no, how silly of me, how can you, its redirected to an affiliate program. tut tut tut.

Go play with a light switch.

    You've made the right decision.

This makes me feel really old.I started playing machines in the mid 80s when you were still in nappies.Over the years I have won a lot more than I lost,by 'learning the ropes' the hard way(there was no internet back then to get info).
    Was it worth it? NO.
Would I advise anyone else to get involved? NO.
    Do I still play? NO.
I stopped playing regularly 2 years ago and haven't played anything now for over 6 months.I wish I'd stopped earlier-even though I was making a fairly decent regular income playing fruits from 2000-2002 I would have made a better & easier one doing something else.Yes there have been very good years in the 1990s when I've made £4k+/month but the learning curve was costly, and the side-effects[maintaining the habit] unpleasant.
If I heard there was a discreet infallible long lasting emptier doing the rounds(some chance ) I might have a go,but to be playing for a living now is a mug's game(apologies to all you guys who are still at it).Even when we make money,it's an anti-social, unhealthy obsessive activity.
I know I've bored on about it before, but above all, playing fruits successfully means staying involved and keeping up what is,when you come down to it,a very, very bad habit. You have to constantly remind yourself that you're not really addicted, and convince everyone around you that you aren't some sad fruity playing obsessive, but a true 'professional player'(ever notice the way eyes roll in the heads of 'normal' people when you try to convince them of that? ).
When times are lean the 'habit' has a tendency to suck you in against your better judgement(no matter how disciplined you are).
Now that I've had my longest break from playing in years,I can really see how screwed up I was when I was always thinking about machines and locations, despite whatever money I may have made.
There *are* more important things than money.

There aren't more important things than money - but there are 1000's of better ways to make it than fruities!

I'd love to read some CV's of fruit 'pros' in 2 yrs time haha.

    See you in McDonalds lads!

The most important thing in life is happiness, I used to think it was money but as long as you are happy why do you give a sh*t if you are rich or not?

But youre right about the McDonalds for the pro's soon though.
