Just a quick question or 2.

Which areas get machines chipped quicker, arcades or pub machines??

If a manufacturer found a flaw in a machine how long does it usually take to get chipped out completely?

my opinion is pubs, as i know a bar owner and he actually plays each of his new machines before putting them in his bar, to see what they are like.
now i supose it depneds as acrcades else where in citys say may be the same but in middlesbroiugh they dont get them done instantly, alot of the time due to the owner of the run down arcades in midlesbrough has never played a machine in his life and they just end up getting told by some low life with a burbery cap this machine aint even shipped. it might even be and they would still say the same. i supose it just depends on area and what arcades you are going to.

Large arcade establishments such as Nobles switch off and chip before most pubs are even considered.

Smaller, family run arcades may find out a little further down the line and in some cases not bother to upgrade software at all.

Would you like to elaborate on which arcades in Mbro do this?

As far as i know the only small family run arcade in Middlesbrough is the one opposite Rileys which houses no modern machines what so ever. Wipeout being about the newest hi tec in there. Others such as Nobles, Royals and Regal have proper staff / engineers and regular machine updates / swap outs.

manufacturers - they do TRY to keep on top of things.

most faults are found way before more than one person even knows about it.


its funny how everyone thinks that as soon some one posts it on the message board its gets chipped straight away. Actually, this is prob is true!

nor im not on about the arcade oposite riley's, but i do actually like that for the pure fact of wipeout and gridrunner.
im on about the new one just opened near Tony and Guy. you will know what i mean only a few machine at the back but i know of atleast two the machines arent chipped, not sure about cops and robs.

sounds like those two machines are gonna be chipped!

I had an unchipped Jurassic Pork and Ice Burger next to each other for about a year (actually phsyically in the same place - next to each other)

not very big profit earners but you could juggle between the too all night and it got played a LOT by munters, was in a nightclub too.

Right well i paid this place a visit and found the following AWPS ONLY.

LOTR (ROTK)
Snakes and Ladders
Cops N Robbers
Trickshot
Monopoly

Which of these do you reckon are unchipped? They are all Bell Fruit bar the Trickshot.

Monopoly has no notechanger.

If youve managed to stick a key in the Trickshot (highly likely to be chipped anyway) expect to be barred and a call from the police. Large ceiling cameras all of the building.

As far as the others go i have no knowledge of any chips. NOT criticals anyway.

Please advise.

can steal jp's and even get close to emptying an unchipped monopoly by playing for super hold off the blue set. get jp, cherry, cherry on the winline and hey presto....its given jp! chances are it will be chipped though!

well it happens that the actaul manger of the place is quite a close friend, he actually showed me cops and robs last nite in safe mode as i wanted to see if the what i read about the streak when all safe lights are lite was correct ad it was. i asked him just between us which machine are chipped and which ones where about to be chipped and he repylied trickshoot is the only one unchipped and for the main reason of even he knows of no way to force this machine but he is getting manufactuer in anyway. so i was wrong with the thinking two were not chipped, i thought maybe cobs and robs but cant be. as when i playing in safe mode i saw the chip numbers come up at the begining and the name of the manufacters who chipped it, i only know this as the manger said yer this is chipped look. so i do apoligise about thinking it was chipped and hopefully you never played it, but if you know of any ways to force the trickshot id use it quickly if you can before thats gone to.
out of intrest you play any of the machines if yes what you think of the playability ?
