Foreign Fruit machines

Well im off on my hols now, have any of you played foreign machines?? Are they just like ours?? Im going to Tunisia so i don't think they will even have any fruit machines there but you never know what you may find

Tunisia is a moslem country isnt it ? so presumably gambling illegal or if it is legal, not encouraged.

Mate, the reason I got hooked to fruities was because of a holiday to Gran Canaria in 2003. I found a fruit machine, never played them before in my life, it was all in Spanish but I won about 80 euros a day on it- the Spanish lady behind the arcade change counter was not happy but it nearly made me enough to pay for my holiday!

By the way, since this is an old post, did you find any in Tunisia Lenny?

There are no fruit machine like ours outside of the uk. Barcrest do manafacture outside of the UK but the machines are totally different. The only way I have seen locals and the chinese play them is to staright force but it is pointless when you dont know what any of the features say or what the buttons do, you usually play the bottom reels to acheive goes on the top reels.

Bit of an inbetween of low techs and hi techs

But agree enjoy your hols and dont worry about such things

No machines which is obvious really when you think about it. Had a great holiday though i reccomend it if anyone is going

i was there this year... gambling is not illegal, they have casinos near hamamet where i was, they sell beer, cigarettes and ganja [i declined this offer on the beach, *then* the cops ride up on their horses.... hmm... wonder what would have happened if i had bought the ganja...]

there were crappy awp's in the casino, on par with the crap u see in spain.

when i was in amsterdam there were machines everywhere. they looked like grand slam/6 5 special. achieve wins on the bottom reels to spin the top. i also saw a couple of pro's the same guys in about 6 or 7 bars. they would load in credits, set the machine to gamble a certain way (there were various settings i think) then wedge in a card and sit back and watch. they seemed to be battering them silly.
