Just started...

Just started messing around on a couple of machines in my local. I do it for the entertainment more than anything (can be quite costly tho sometimes!).

However, I wouldn't mind comming out with a few quid or even breaking even every now and then.

Have any of you guys got any tips for a complete beginner...?

This is gonna sound so patronising, but the best advice I can offer is to not get into the game seriously, as it is now the worst time to do it! There are posts in this section detailing the basics i believe, but the competition at the moment is generally so intense that even the most established are starting to find it harder to earn from the game.

The only extra advise I would add is that if you HAVE to play, avoid certain manufacturers. To keep losses to a minumum:-

Red Gaming - Unless u are an established fruit machine player who understands fruit machines these can be a bitch.

Bellfruit/Mazooma/QPS - Not for ALL their machines, but most. They have collect on ? - The average punter will walk up pput £3/£4 in, spin twice, get up to £2/£3 and get a ? They will collect and walk, thus keeping the % low. Generally, stay away coz ull be lucky to find one in a good mood.

All the rest generally will give u a good bit of value for money from the board.

i aint planning on tryin to do it big time really. I dont really mind walking away with 10 - 20 quid down. I usually have a couple of mates there and they put a few quid in etc.

Just thought it would be cool to be able to buy one extra beer rather than one less sometimes.

I think the best profit ive ever had is about a quid. heh.

The machine i play mostly is an lotr one, not sure which one.

anyways, thanks for the advice, i'll not retire and try and earn my way on bandits just yet. heh.

Theres ur problem straight away. STOP playing it.

The program will be as tight as a nuns arse. They have had countless times to update their software and will have erradicated all of their past mistakes. The board will hardly go above £3 if u keep collecting on ?

You cannot profit from this machine in the long run. LEAVE IT. Play with summat else. Like the SHitbox. Or the missus' fanny.
