As the title suggests, I have found the perfect way to make money.

    Quit playing the machines.

The last time I ever gambled was on supercharged, 1st quid on the board, and it gave me £8 off a shot, so I thought it was playing.

£100 later, I still didn't have the jackpot.

I just stared at the machine thinking, how stupid I was, and I told my mate to go on it.

A fiver later, he pulled £50 out of it.

    I felt sick.

That was nearly two months, since then I haven't gambled once, and it's brilliant.

The thing is though, my two best mates still like a gamble, and so whether it be in a pub, if we stop off at a service station, I now just watch them gamble.

To be honest, it's pathetic, people who gamble, chase a poxy £25 jackpot are just pathetic.

I will probably get a lot of backlash for this, but it's something that I have told my friends, I think anybody who will risk £50 and more to win a jackpot just because its playing, or the machine is backing is a loser.

The other day my friend put a quid in big cheese, and it backed, he looked at me and said, I have gotta chase it. £60 later, I told him that he should just leave it, and he looked at me and said, if it repeats, I'm ok.

£75 in, he drops the jackpot, it doesn't repeat, so then he chucks it all back in, and thus loses all his money, something I'm sure all of you have done at some point.

    Pathetic, just pathetic.

So why do you all gamble, to win money? Can't be that, cuz once you have won one jackpot, you will only lose it on another machine. Who here on a regular basis will win a jackpot, and then spend his winnings on something worth while, on a regular basis?

I am 100% sure, not one of you.

Why don't you all just get a life, instead of playing machines everyday, one day you will all look back at your lives and think how sad you were for gambling 24/7, I know I have over the last few weeks.

You have some good points there. But dont be like the smoker who has just quit and preaches about how bad it is. Remember some people still enjoy it.

I play for sport, but a jackpot or three is nice.

congratulations, good on you for quitting

if its something you no longer enjoy or is costing a small fortune - both by the sounds of it - you're far better off doing something better with your time and cash and, lets face it, there are many many many things better to do than playing machs

if you're serious just make sure you stick to it!

Well done for seeing sense(maybe you should change your nick to Hot Stuff Hater? ).
Something I've been saying since I first posted on a fruit machine board 6 years ago-*gambling* on fruit machines is for idiots, always has been always will.
Some of those idiots who play enough find out about 'emptiers' and methods and actually start making money, but the idiot within often comes back to the surface and tries to convince you that what you're doing is a 'profession' and all those muggish sessions you partake in are just part of the job, researching methods and gauging profiles...

No: it's still a mug's game and you're still being a mug if you think fruit machines owe you a living.

We've had some good times over the last few years when it was easy to believe that fruit machines *were* designed solely to give some of us an easy income-but once you really start believing that, you're in a trouble.

Better to quit altogether than to hang on getting sucked back in to one of the worst habits known to man.

Wow, I can't believe the responses to this thread, I thought you were all gonna tear me a new arsehole.

empsburna, I ain't gonna be like the smoker who quits and then preaches, but having not gambled for so long, I wanted to alert other people to just how stupid it is throwing money into a machine that has pre-determined when and how much it is gonna pay out.

Yes some good points made, I know I have done most of the things you mentioned, praying for the streak or repeat, after £50+ in...like you say pathetic /sad really...just wish I could kick it though

still get a kick playing them though, as long as you only gamble what u can afford to lose, have discipline, they are the 'keys'

You gotta get close. closer than you ever been before cause if you miss it your macine will be at the door.

cause you gotta remember if you end up going RED then you need to go outside TWO before its late cause thers a mind in the MACHINES but if you AVOID me then you could be SAVING you time as the dirty CASH cause you never know when the next RECHIP could KILL everything you know.

THE thing is that INFO that we get is second hand and you really need contacts tahe get info early to get any further ahead than the average player. It just depends how far down the line you are everyone know what the crack IS. and if the info you get is TRUE then you are on the way to winning.

Anyone know how much fruit machine programmers earn?
Everyone assumes that there are some bent ones out there who supplement their income by coding in emptiers and selling them off.
Well I don't think it's entirely a myth, but if I were a programmer,I'd code in some stuff that no one would find accidentally and I'd keep it to myself.
If all the 'bent' coders did this,no one else would ever get to find them.
So how and why do they get discovered?

I think this idea that there are 'top of the tree' players with access to all the latest tricks is a bit of a myth-no player ever knows everything.
If you find something out for yourself why spread it?
I've worked out a few 'tricks' myself, and never told anyone, but eventually I always met someone else who knew it.
If a machine is 'doable' without the need for insanely illogical 'tricks',the methods will get discovered, and word will spread around.
So I go back to something I said earlier-if the right machines aren't being made-you can't win(unless of course, you are one of these mythical top of the tree players who knows about emptiers before the machines in question are released...).
Things aren't always quite as straightforward as they first appear...
