Some very good points, I really cannot see the point in gambling on a half of coke etc, I prefer playing when pissed for the reasons top says - much better banter even if some aren't ready.

As for a different hobby, well I do tons of sport and exercise, not for some I suppose, but takes up lots of time and don't feel as guilty after a 20 pint blowout.

    Or get a job

Yep..I was well gutted when I saw the spectrum version...just couldn't cope with the refresh..it was like watching your dvd on slow mo x4.
Had to wait for the good old Amiga to have a stab at a half decent version.

pissed & playing is a double edged sword, i try to stay slightly inebriated rather than bladdered.

ive got a full time job, decent one at that, and play sport at least once a week but nothing is as habitual as fruits. hhmmm, maybe i should have a child - that takes up alot of time and money - HAHAHA!

    Actually, anyone here got children?

    Not personally, not yet anyway.

Although i do know of a couple of players in the Necastle area with familys (ie 2 kids and wife) who play full time (12 hour days) at present.

How the hell can they do that?? I think that's rather sad really - only decent if making large amounts of cash - is anyone?

Why play if a decent full time job? Must get fed up of trawling round shitholes filled with shitheads for an IJ3 streak or so forth?

And yes playing when hammered isn't great, more the judgement side goes i.e. force unready m/c's, recycling wins more etc. My bank balances seem to indicate i play pissed more than sober...

So about £200 per 12 hr day on average, that sounds about right....i am usually out for about 5-6 hrs and aim to make a min of £100... somedays like today fall a tad short ( 90 ) other days get off to a flier and get close to 200.

I should really put more hours in, but without extensive travel, dont really have enough good locations to justify more hours, i would probably end up playing more marginal stuff and the hourly rate would take a dive. I have usually had enough after 5-6 hrs anyway, can be a bit soul-destroying.

damn I aint made £200 a day for a long time.
I think having no car anymore (long story) doesnt help the situation... I make closer to £200 a week now but I work full time with a good salary so it just makes a nice top up.

Soon I will getting back into proper playing hopefully
Why has it come to this?

I wouldn't worry, you can take claims of people making 200/day,*every day* with a pinch of salt.

Now when people moan about *losing* 200/day,that I can believe.

Anyone *regularly* & legally making £1000/week is doing something that hasn't been mentioned on this (or any other)forum.

Completely agree mate, to make £200 a day is more than possible, but to achieve it day in day out consistantly for five days a week 52 weeks a year is something completely different.
