    my stars!

actually found one that i think is chipped. keeps dropping to STNW and gives the win (which usually ends up in small profit anyway).

what i dont understand is that i done one setup and it did gamble up up and away?

did they miss that out or what? or does that mean its not chipped? maybe i caught it just after some chav got the double from it?

    anyhelp appreciated'

    Hmmm

Sounds chipped if its dropping down to nearest win often. It should also drop to cash link often aswell even after going to nearest win £'s and £'s earlier.

There is a theory that it will go up if there is 2 in it but i have doubts about this.

Best idea is to leave it well alone.

Anyone ever seen a chipped Fireball? In my experience its always DnP.

    never seen a chipped fireball

chipped dnp will go up once theres 2 in it as you say - once it goes to stepper you could just as easily gamble to top feature.

there are apparently ways around the chip =but buggered if i know one thats reliable and worthwhile. heres some of what ive heard & seen but use at your own risk, i stress ive NOT found them to be reliably profitable

    * play for medium to high cash wins - can get on the board past the bar and with enough nudges to already obtain set up

    * play for JP off stnw

    * play to solely get top feature then go for stepper for additional jp afterward (assumption is that top feature lifts the bar)

feel free to flame me pointing out how lame these all are, or suggest alternatives

I would approach these with caution as top says.

A straight force for the top can be pricey.

Also dont think its easy to get a JP off STNW and cant see there being much if any profit from forcing for this.

On another note, anyone confirm if the IM is still free (in terms of going up), SUPER aswell.

super is free, chip = gamble, gamble, lose, so up up down.

there is prob a way around it but not really worth it

In my experiance have never heard of a chipped fireball, but if like where I play you get millions of players who dont use nudges correctly and just try and gamble up at every oppurtunity it puts some tough boards in to make it harder to get. Watched one of the so-called bandit pro's in Newcastle put £60-£70 quid in to force one to gamble up the other day. (prob should have told him id just done it - but was quite enjoying him getting annoyed and wondering if it was chipped).

    Anyway - Cheers.

can't have been much of a pro if it took him 60-70 to get a jp out of a dnp. it must have been playing terribly. can judge it from the board and 2 losing gambles.

infact if you have a chipped one the best way to play is to leave it a lot longer than usual (ie more than a day or so!) and just hope for the 8 hot lift board. you will be unlucky not to get a jp/decent win off this. i've found that it usually gives 2 8 lift boards in quick succesion.

yeah, i'd go along with that. It was a fireball he put 60+ in. Most players do seem to walk if not going straight up. This guy is pretty good normally but arrogant to insist he doesn't come off untill he's had l-hold. Must dent the profits having no discipline.
