Saw a Pick Yer Pesos and decided to see what mood it was in. Within first two boards it gamled to £5 and £10 on cash. I decided to carry on. As the worst case scenario would be £30 in for first JP i wasnt too bothered (beer was constantly coming over - so i was fine). Carried on untill about my 18th shiny gold coin went in.
Whats this? 'HOLD MIDDLE REEL' - with a Impulse logo on it! So i held and got the jackpot, no repeat. I thought this was strange and definatly carried on (as it likes doing its £75 dumps!). Next two boards where red.
Nice! £75 just dropped into the payout tray. Dam those cabs are loud. Decided to play for another board - wasnt red. But... all the guns on the cash stack where lit. I'd never seen this before and i'm pretty sure it means jack. Gambled to £5 and was tempted to take it but i ended up gambling to my 4th jackpot. WAHEY! i thought. More coins fly out of machine.
Next board - back to normal on the block. Ended up taking £4 off a feature. Gotta love these machines! If you catch them right anyway... Anyone else had this on PYP?
How many weeks shall I wait for it to save enough money for the streak again? Its a busy-ish site and gets played regulary. 9am - 11pm weekdays and the usual lateness at the weekend. Cheers!
Busy town center pub 1-2 weeks.
TOwn center backstreet/pretty busy pub 2-3 weeks.
out of town center pub/suburbs 3 weeks.
Small village pub every 1 - 2 months. but i tend to leave these for about 3 months as the landlords of these places tend to make a mental note of people who are not regulars so best give them time to forget.
always nice to see an impulse streak with the extra nonIM JP, usually i find these sandwiched in between first JP and first red board.
impulse are best manu for regular streaks i find. best result is out of a royal roulette £119 from 3 gold streaks & £25JP (forced on me), followed by £15 cash gamble and £4 afters
booked is spot on with the timing (tho personally i add a week for the out of town pubs)
But remember you will not always be the one who hits the streak, theres always the pissed up local whos been draged into forcing due to being pissed and mangages to hit it. Or it can get hit by someone else who knows what they are doing.
If you get the first jackpot and it does not streak do not try to chase it come back 3-4 days later and then you will deffeniatly know if someone else hit the streak and then go back to your origional timescale.
Its all about planning ahead...

as you know booked its about carving a niche for yourself around a number of pubs that you regularly hit. the pissed up local/ fluky casual player you cant really avoid but, if you're any good, other players will very soon realise if an area is being well covered
once had a typical player - fat guy with 1/2 a coke' - turn in up in 3 pubs on the trot 20/30 minutes after me. dont think he ever saw me but i even knew what car he was driving (light blue m reg escort). when it happened in the fourth i couldnt help but laugh. i asked him how he was doing as he played something i'd taken a JP out of 5 minutes previously and he said something like 'terrible, mate - one of those days'. i was going to tell him theres was little point but, well, i just couldnt bring myself to do it. ended up giving him encouragement - 'ah well, gotta stick at it and you'll get there in the end' *CACKLE*
never have seen him again
