Oki.. I say we should set some guidelines here especially since the link keeps getting posted to superarcadia and we all know what sort of crap and bullshit there is there.

I dont mean like keep posts on topic cus everyone likes to chat about off topic things once in a while and thats completly fine but all this crap of new members coming here and posting new topics just to brag about crap just reminds me of superarcadia.

    Lets have some input peeps
Why has it come to this?

Fair play Scott be a shame to see this board go the way of arcadia (ie best on the net to worst!) so yeah some guidelines might be a good idea. However I dont think we are anywhere near arcadia standards yet in terms of posting random shit or slagging people off and I cant really see it happening to be honest. Obviously i haven't been posting long (and I hope you dont class me as one of the new members described above?) but the reason i've started using this board now is because it seems things can be discussed in an open mature environment without any of the shit associated with all the other sites, and it would be good to keep it that way.

Sorry mate i agree with scott, over the last month or so we have had many new members, repeating old questions (even though the board rules say search before asking) and giving out abuse. this board consists of ppl who speak nicely to, and of, one an other. thats what has made it the best. we have no problems with new members so long as they dont annoy us, and take us into consideration, and im pretty sure everyone who is an older member on here would agree with that, along with some of the newer faces too!

u will only ruin it for yourselves!

PS. i didnt mean to sound gay then, just had to make a point. so i wud appriciate it if no queer members pm me for a date, thank you

Bones, i've obviously not made myself clear in my last post, i do agree with Scott also that some kind of measures should be taken to prevent crap being posted arcadia style, and no, I do not think it is right for people to come onto the board and repeat previous questions without searching first or post abusive messages. I also believe that in the limited time i've been posting on the board, my posts have been sensible, considerative and non abusive and have been intended to be helpful or promote debate, which is surely what the board is all about. One thing that it seems may develop (which would definitely be detrimental to the board) is a mentality of 'older, established posters' versus newbies, which I hope no one wants to see.

Sorry if i've pissed you off mate!

Yep...that was a bit harsh on the new guy...also doesn't represent the view of all of the longer established members...I don't want to be classed as a long term member with an attitude towards new posters/members..it's obvious if they are spouting shit and in this case...he's not. UKFMP suffers from a lot of 'old codger' shit and to some appears a little snooty...let's not have that view being taken on here.

from what i have seen they all get tired and leave after a while, from what i have noticed for every 5 twats that appear, 3 or 4 bullshit and then leave. but the other 1 or 2 people seem to decent enough. yer man jimmy, a1056688 and that hunk of a man bonesey are more recent examples of this. but such is the way of the internet. i think the introduction of more guidelines and the like would just give plebs a reason to type shite, and please dont cut out the digressions of others i.e. kidgloves and his wonderful tales. the intro of the members section is also a good idea provided that its of benefit to those who wish to use it, as long as you are still willing 2 chuck a few hints to the beer money players such as myself and i have to say gents you always have done so in the past.

and now you may bow to the king of penguin batting
