just played noterunner. i was using the notechanger and stuck in a fiver. it gave the plays as usual, ie £2 then xfer for credits, which i did. go on board and it gave the fiver back again. tried it again but just took it as usual. oh well got free credits and it went for the 75 with £10 afters (love super rise and fall, always a tenner!) has anyone else had it spit the note back out moments later but still give the credits? (i tried a score which would have been nice)

yes once, on an extremely happy extreme 25 which then went for £50 of a jackpot repeat and it was a tenner i put in!!!!!
aaah, that was a good day / looks back in a fixed state of pleasure /
that's ultimate profit margin, gained £50, cost nothing, profit = 5000% profit![]()

( i think )
surely profit is infinate% or unmeasurable if you lost/put in nothing?
well one of us will look sillier than the other when someone clarifies it, hope its not me![]()
bones
you can't measure profit as a % if nothing was put in. % is simply an expression of a decimal fraction. you cannot have a fraction of 0. in this case it was just a profit of £50.
p.s. bonesy did you look at the royle family barcode?

hmmm, interesting
as i understood it the n/c code and gameplay were completely separate, but - thinking of TM & early monopoly - this cannot be the case. couple of questions
i wonder if how buzzed the mach was is a factor. was it gagging to pay cfdu?
also, when did it spit the fiver out - after transferring £2 and you'd played a few credits and got on the board? if so thats really strange as the note is deposited in a tray once its been scannned and confirmed & its a one way route, the note cant come back thru.
have you tried other fivers, tenners and twenties? you might find its a fiver only fault
the same sort of thing happened to me on an extreme ( cant remember what one) but i put in a tenner and it gave the £10 back and i still got £10 credits.
I think i even got JP with those free credits as well.
strange.....................
Okey Dokey, Roll em
yeh cdfu, i did read the royle family barcode, cheers mate. and thanks for proving me right with the % thing![]()

Never had this myself although it would surely have to have spat the note straight out as if it hadnt accepted it, because as top says its a straight one way route .
This is very intersting though.
1.Has anyone experienced this on anything other than Extreme?
2.Did anyone have any credits or a bank at the time the note was inserted? if so how many/much?
3. Which model note changer?
Similar to monopoly except it didnt actaully give the credits.
Perhaps the note changer works with 2 sensors. The upper sensor may scan for authenticity and the lower sensor for the amount. It may have recognised the amount yet rejected authenticity and so spat it back out (just a stab in the dark)

hi all just to clarify. at the time i had no credits in the machine. i put in the fiver, it transferred the £2 automatically. i got nowt off this. i then used xfer button to use another £2. i got on the board off this, had a couple of spins and the fiver came back out.
at the time the machine wasn't that buzzed. it was offering like £7/8 cashpot - certainly not at the jp stage.
i tried the fiver again but this time it just took it normally. as anyone else would have done, i also tried a tenner and a twenty but it just took them normally. (gutted!) i did not have another fivewr to try it with, and was being sharked so didn't wanna draw any attention to it by asking for fivers at the bar.
end result was i ended up with a fiver of free credits, but on the plus side it did do the 75 off the top. i haven't tried it again yet, but will do and advise of the result. i am not familiar with the tech side of notechangers at all, just wondered if anyone else had experienced the same, and whether an emptier could be worked out really. it was i guess 20-30 secs after i put it in and it was accepted it came back out (as you know when these aren't ready just spin away so was playing fast.)
** just to add i had no bank***

Did the fiver come back out whilst you were on the board? If so do you have any idea what square you were on?
Might be worth trying exactly the same sequence of events agin with another fiver see how you get on.
