It will only give superhold when it is ready to give JP anyway and most are chipped.

Switch it off and on and check the software version.

I disagree. Snake actually gives superhold off the feature ladder unlike Lord of the Rings which only offered it at random. It was easy to get it in close succession but then the % drift would kick in and you couldn't get a board for at least £10-£20 sometimes. Much easier to empty in it's time than Lord Rings or Cop the Lot.

any flaw that will make a machine payout different to its profile/percentage will usually be chipped out within a couple of weeks of manufacture finding out. You can be sure the SRR is chipped as it is emptiable if you have the patience.

Anyways.. get superhold and hold the top row then quickly press cancel and the buttons again and they will all jump down one place.. repeat till JP's in view and superhold the JP in.

Chances of finding an unchipped one are next to zero.
Jackpots from S/H were not 'free',but the feature itself (with the bug in it) was not accounted for properly.
The machine can offer S/H when the bar is on at,say,£3,but due to the fault, S/H(a bottom feature) is JP every time-therefore a stone-cold emptier-it certainly doesn't have to be 'JP-happy' to offer it.
The big drawback is that the JPs *are* accounted, and so once you've taken a few the machine can go very, very dead.I have had them cost £70 to get on the board for S/H.
£50 over the back is not uncommon when one is on recovery.
Eventually though, due to the programme weighting the feature so low,it will offer you enough within a short space of time to empty it(you only need 5 to make £125-less if the 1st starts the streak(which it often used to do).
I haven't seen one in a pub for over 6 months.
Just to add,you can get JP from any position within 1 minute once you get used to the technique.

Except when the buttons stick due to beer and stuff. Now that was annoying.

I dont play these ones much so I am no expert on them but I know a force can cost a fair bit more for a single JP then not give much in after play.
If it is getting past blocks after only a few £ it should be ok but it can hold you at the £5 and £10 block for way more than JP amount if it not in a good mood. There is much better stuff about at the mo' than to be messing around with SRR's and LOTR's
Why has it come to this?
