Thread: Refill Key

    Ive just bought a refill key off ebay, but i didnt get a users guide with it, could somebody please tell me how to use it, i dont know what buttons to press to check the hopper balance, last win etc Thanks in advance

    To be honest mate, refill keys are pretty useless. Most of the machines have the hopper balance (which is the most important) disabled on them. You'll find some Barcrests that will work though.

    It's not difficult to use one, just turn the key and scroll through the options with the start button (usually)

    Don't be obvious with it though, or you'll get thrown out of the pub (or wherever you are)

    Oh, and don't always rely on the fact that just because the hopper reads £125 that it is ready to pay out. Machines that have been emptied can be refilled by the owners - (hence 'refill' key )

    I would suggest not altering the volume either mate.

    As already said these keys are practically useless, hope you didnt pay much.

    I have only ever found a couple of machines which my key works on and the local Cash Bang Wallop does not show anything.
    If you do find a machine it will usually only let you see the last bank, last win, volume, I have NEVER found a hopper balance shown.

    I believe the only real use for them these days is for their intended purpose,ie-refilling empty machines.
    If you're lucky enough to need them for that reason you can't really complain. :P
