just a quick note to everyone regarding noterunner. i was in my local today when a guy from ll came in and changed the chip on the noterunner. feeling a bit cheeky i asked him if he had set it up for the transfer on the notechanger as you can still change notes for free on this machine, it don't tax the £2 for credits. he replied no, he'd just 'altered' the machine a bit. i didn't play it as i took the 75 off the top yesterday, so i don't know what effect the chip will have. my guess is that it is to stop it running off the top so much. this particular one NEVER goes for less than 50 off the top. i will test it later next week, but if it is chipped to just give flat 25's off the top i'll be well pissed as i play this once a week when i am having lunch in between lectures. the engineer wouldn't say any more than he had just altered it and i didn't push the point as at the mo the pub is profitable with a top dog, cbw and noterunner, and i don't really want them to be changed. anyone noticed any of these or the clones playing differently to usual? your thoughts please.....

i used 2 play it alot wen it was stil relitively new, and the most i had off the top was £50, it sometimes went 4 £35 but on most occasions £25, dno if this helps, maybe wen u hit it u used sum form of method, i dnt no, but even with a blatent force £50 was unusaul.

In my experience you can expect £50 around 50% of the time. The other 50% is made up of £25 and the occasional £75/100. Only ever had £100 once.

I thought if you hit the 3rd tenner you were guaranteed the fifteen pound note that follows thus guarnteed £50 if you get £35. Although going on the previous posts i could be wrong.

To be honest i havent played extremes enough over the past month to notice if there is any re-chip. However should they have been re-chipped to stop it going over £25 regularly from the top i would like to know how the thing can ever keep to its percentage unless it has improved playability for recycling.

The only way to play extremes without taking an hour to play 30 borads is to spin the initial £25 credits out and hope you get it in the following tenner and it goes more than £25 on the top. Can often be a quick £20 to follow from the cashpot when it doesnt go more than £25 and it does once in a blue moon give you the top for a second time.

This doesnt apply to Bubble and Squeaks or Crazy Cashino however that regularly go £75/100.

It used to the case that rechipping a machine would also reset the percentage, and you couldn't lose if you played it straight off.
Certainly the case with older JPMs-always an easy £60 profit after a new chip or a factory reset.

CFDU :- I have a noterunner near me ( north side Brum ) of the last 4 times i took it on, went for 75 first 3 times ( leaving it just over a week in between ) Most recent time it forced the 25 on me off the bonus

I had probably left it too long in-between last time, and someone else may have got the top, mind you early signs were not good ( i find if its giving 2 cockerels early on, it can be a bad sign ) however i pushed on and paid the price.

Cant be same place as your local, as there is a Jack the Kipper in there..

Bad news if there is a new chip that only gives 25 off top, would make machine unplayable for me.

when you say forced jp on you off the bonus was it that you exch to the board and instantly the bonus stacked up to jp? i had this on jp&bs and i think its cos i wound it up too much and should have gone for the top earlier. i will try this machine in a few days and let you know the outcome.

Yes, when i exchanged to feature, it instantly gave JP off bonus... seems to kill it dead when that happens.

I dont avoid going on feature ( maybe i should for first £25 of plays )

I find that if you get the 3 cockerels naturally ( ie getting one, then it gives the other 2 as well ) it pays bigger than if you get all 3 cockerels seperately thru steps off the hi/lo "superboard"

I generally spin out the first £20 worth of credits depending on how progressive the first board is.

In my experience it is very difficult to get the top once it has offered a single cockerel. To be honest i usually kill myself if it doesnt offer all three as i have never had it offer the 2 once a single one has been obtained.

Maybe i should continue playing if some of you guys have had three single ones.

it is very very unlikely that you can get them singularly, when it is ready as soon as you land on one on board or on hi/lo then it wil step in the other 2. you can use the cockrels to kill yourself on boards that are not ready. once you get 2 and its not ready death is within 3 or 4 spins.
