Bingo Halls

Never found it necessary to visit Bingo Halls as of yet.

Can anyone enlighten me as to what i will find both machine type (Bar X?, £25? £15? etc) and percentage wise in the local GALA / MECCA?

Most Bingo Halls I've been to offer lo-tec mainly. Gala is set around the 82-86% mark..not good for lo tecs. You will find mainly lots of party times, golden games, crazy fruits/keys and any kind of variant of the 'get 3 symbols in view for the win series feature' machines. Don't always assume it will be easy pickings either..the middle aged female bingo player will have your nads for tea if you jump on after her or senses you are sharking. They will play until they get a decent win at whatever cost. Also beware the handbag wielding granny who will proceed to jump on any machine next to you, ask you for the machines life history of payouts, fumble around for some loose change, play very slowly and hit the buttons very hard, take an eternity over 3 nudges because there are just 'so' many possiblities and still manage to drop a ton off her first feature.

its true about grannies. many are the worst sharks, yet no one ever says anything as they are 'just old ladies.' it looks like they don't have a clue, yet you can be there up to your neck in a machine that was showing all the signs, they'll get onto one which has just paid and still hit the roll for 100 or so! in one of the arcades i frequent there are 2 and EVERY win they get, including £1 or £2, they'll announce it to the whole place and get the attendant over to have a look. very irritating!

correct! i dnt mind old ppl except when they r sharkin, because that is wot they do. cdfu is right aswel, they always win, yes its on lo tecs and if a monkey got lucky they could take jackpot, but y is it them and neva us?? they r the ones who always get the £80 plus streak when mine goes 4 a bout £6 if im lucky.

i wil have 2 call a few scientists and c if they can do sum research into this mystery that has baffled younger gamblers 4 many years!!

Right this thread is just up my street...at last..

Bingo halls.and Oldies...Kid Gloves is right they are a lo-tec heaven, and yes you can make a good profit from them. I have been barred from more than 1 or 2 establishments in my time, but never from a bingo hall, in fact in most of the halls I play in the staff know me so well they hum the theme tune to Jaws when I appear ! The older players fall into 3 classes.
1. Play a few quid here and there, sometimes win / lose.
2. Play as Kid said until they streak, even to the tune of £200+
3. Play and munt / row/ havn't got a clue bridade. (The best type).

I can honestly say hand on heart, that I have never walked away from a hall down on profit (except when I rowed a £500 pot), but that's a different story.
Out of all the places I can still play I would play in halls more often than not as the machines are constantly played, where as if you do say a hi-tec such as a Pie in a arcade it might be a full week before it's good again, a hall machine however will probably streak at least once a day.

Plus not to mention the fact theres a lot of stuff that ain't been chipped up to hell and back, such as earlier Golden Game chips (no not p1 /p2's) before you all get carried away but some p3 p4's. Not to mention the delights of Bar X's' that go off the sets, (and before you ask NO I am NOT telling you).

And of course everyone's favourite..Party times :0P

Got to tell you all this though....Whilst playing a G/Game in a hall not so long ago I got a GX Flash and the old granny next to me, who must have been 80 if she was a day said, ''knock it back dearie- it will come back and you will get more''. So you right again Kid sharks come in all shapes and sizes not to mention agrs..lol.

On a final note beware...If you have a heart don't play in halls...I have and the amout of times I have ended up helping and old dear (who reminds you / me of your dearly departed grandmother), who was just about to lose a j/pot or more, only to think later, I could have had that for myself..Still thats the nice guy in me...Wouldn't you agree?????

I concentrate on the local pubs and bookies and have done for a number of years now. Although as things have seemed to go quiet lately i was wondering whether to venture to the local Bingo Hall.

So i am right in thinking that in general similar machines that i am used to, ie Dosh Balls, HF, Adams, Austin P, Be Dazzled, PYP, Jackpotters etc could be found and played regularly to make an average to decent profit?

I've never seen a Hi-Tech in any local bingo.Not in the last ten years[!].
If the day comes when I'm to be found sharking old ladies in bingo halls you have my permission to shoot me.
