    Guess again, i saw him yesterday on his break from work, so that rules him out, they were all ok around here when it came out. bar the Nobles, which was always backing, even when a win had been taken.

    I recall visiting Ripon / Harrogate and surrounding areas about 6 weeks ago on a Friday afternoon just to keep uptodate with locations.

    Black Bull in Ripon had a Bling King and I spotted a gentlemen with a coke and a bag of pound coins playing the Bling King.

    At the time I thought, "what on earth is he playing that for?" but looking back it seems he knew exactly what he was doing.

    P.S Some are still unchipped in these parts. Amusements still hadnt been chipped in one town after 3 refills (they also hand over the notes when its IOU'd) and still isnt chipped as far as I know (wasnt on Friday anyway) and another from a local supplier in a village pub is still unchipped. Played it yday, took £115 profit, still had roughly £135 left in (12 light to start with), I was planning on taking one more Good Times and a £75 streak (leave £20 in) but the damn alarm started going off, 'Coin Opto Error' 'Tamper'. I wasnt impressed.

    What a great thread. Ive played fruit machines for many years, but never really understood how to 'cheat' them, and that was perfect reading for me.

    IM means Invincible Mode, it is on the guide but just named as Invincibility

    Invincibility is when you cannot lose (unsurprisingly!). Basically, the machine will pay you the jackpot or top feature without killing you along the way.

    Invincible modes (IM's) are usually quite obvious;

    Logo changes colour. Traditionally the logo went red, hence the common use of the term "red mode" to signify a no-lose board/feature.
    Display says "Go for it" or something signifying you're invincible.
    Audio sample at feature entry is different from normal and the board flashes in a different way.
    You keep landing on "add cash" or "skill stop" making it possible to get a JP very quickly.
    It is however possible to get a "hidden" invincible mode. Some machines will do the same as if they are "red" but give no obvious sign. Even old Barcrest machines from the mid 1990's have invincible modes - but they give no signs whatsoever!

    Maygay started this but now every company does it. Even club machines with £1000 jackpots are giving "no lose" boards!!
