why do people iou machines? its really stupid, for any number of reasons. primarily the manu's will find out about the emptier and chip machines. Arcades/pubs will moan about it to distributors who will remove the machines, tell the manu and again a rechip is issued. thirdly anyone who happens to see the machine on iou will not play it as they will assume its always battered, which reduces the cashflow thru the machine, and in turn affects your profits when you come to empty and find it 50 or 60 light. if you have an emptier you don't want others to know, as they'll try and find it and if they do again it hits your pocket, or locals will ask for you to be barred. its much better to be coy, and leave a few quid in the machine. ffs its not hard to count coins to make sure you don't go over 115 or 120. if you do just use a refill key or recycle a few thru to leave something in the hopper while the machine recovers! this rant is now over, but has been prompted by show-off idiots who have banked stupid amounts and had a few of my regular machines removed!
