Wheres the buzz gone?

Well, this may come as a shock to some (it was a bit of a jolt to me) but i've decided to give fruities a break for the month of February, and perhaps beyond

What brought me to this decision was the dawning realisation that i'm bored shitless of pumping coins into countless clones of sub 80% machines with tedious payout cycles that to such an extent that, half the time, i no longer care if i win or lose

Was playing Vivid's Atlantis on Friday evening, wasnt drunk, & had pumped in £40 before realising i wasnt using a method or even thinking about what buttons i pressed but was basically just watching reels go round and lights flash in an abstract manner. Even then i stuck another tenner in before gambling JP out of cash stack and stuck half back in, knowing it wouldnt trigger a streak. Collecting my wits, i turned tail and left accompanied by various internal mutterings along the lines of 'fuck this for a game of soldiers' and 'um, that girls pert little tits look nice, but is she 16 yet i wonder?' (Hey, it was a bowling alley, difficult to avoid such thoughts. Kids today should wear age badges up until the age of consent)


Now, i want to be clear that im not losing money. Not winning a fortune either but, given the fact i cant be arsed to play 'em properly half the time, thats hardly surprising, but winning doesnt generate a thrill anymore (unless its fighting back from a position of loss) and the only adhrenelin comes from wondering, after a £75+ dump in any given local pub, if one of the inevitable chav twats will make a comment or begin the usual have-a -go posturing

id rather wank myself off with a razor bladed glove than enter an arcade any more - what truly sad dregs inhabit these places. And touring 2 dozen or more pubs & betting shops every Saturday afternoon is as exciting as an enema.

So for the next few weeks i'll be quite likely drinking and smoking more and becoming a reknowned expert on Vice City & the art of home cooking. Hopefully the worst effect will be on my weight and there'll be none of the withdrawals, placing of improblable string bets or bulk buying scratchcards that so many other cold turkeyv stories have mentioned

No doubt i'll still log on from time to time. maybe even more so..........

what a way to fall off the wagon!

OK, it was only 3 days (i'm shit i admit it) but it was too good to be true. finished playing badminton last night (gotta keep the waist under 34" and lungs one step away from collapsing) and went for a quick pint. stuck £2 in a dnp before remembering i'm not playing, and - WALLOP - setup there. Took the money and thought - 'nah, just leave it'- but had to see if there was another. £5 later 2nd JP. Nice, and rare nowadays.

Feeling cocky, i hit the dambuster next to it. got cash run feature within a tenner (its fucking easy to play just for this with a bit of thought), then noticed that the lights on the £3 & £4 values were out - bastard!. still, give it a go. got the £3 but buggered up the £4. now its pissed me off, so i try again. another tenner, another cash run. taking everything real slow i manage to get the JP! ah the old skills are still there bulbs or no bulbs, though mate beside me is now convinced i have skywalker style force powers

then leave and decide to go on a bit of a bender in city centre. Holy Smoke - £83 out for £45 in. Vamp It Up - £29 out for £5 in. Royal Roulette - lost £15. end up at my fav. little bowling alley again.

Another dnp, another 2 JPs for less than £15 - this is just too much! spend 5 minutes chatting to a bloke whose got £80+ banked on multiplayer red hot roll. i thought he was a player, but turns out hes a rank amateur (or a damn good liar) who stuck a fiver in whilst his lass (jeez, mister i dont like the look of yours much) went to the toilet and it dropped £50+

whilst chatting to him some dumptruck sized lard ass (sorry but theres no other way to describe him - guy was 25 stone easy, when he sat down on a wooden stool you could see the legs fuckin' bend!) hits the dnp again. he proceeds to spunk £20 straight thru, swears once, then leaves *CACKLE*. well, i couldnt miss the opportunity, £10 in and another JP. Even feeling generous enough to help the red hot rolls ugly missus to win a tenner on a TIJ3

Finished off by walking across the roas to the pub and ripping a cheeky fifty out of a top dog (JP off 7 nudges - most unusual. beginning to think there may be something in the idea of getting JPs off nudges on these 'crests?)

All in all the easiest £140 profit ive made since, well, since my last emptier became redundant, and that was well over a year ago. Gonna see if i enjoy it more if i dont play for a week, perhaps i was a little hasty with my first post?

I knew you would be back...addiction that is...lol i go though things like this have a months where im loving it and a month where its shit (even if im still making a good profit). Its sometimes more hassle than its worth.

Was near packing it in totally a few week back but then BLam! the Mazoomas and Bell fruits disapear (mostly) and in their place comes a Golden Dragon, Jackpoteers 2, KK, Cash Gordon (CG on £5 but likes to streak for £40). This happen over a period of 2 weeks up till last week all within a 1/1.5 mile radious of my house, have not even gone out of the local area this week (going to town this afternoon).

Things are looking good at the moment.
