I recently went on a tour of my home town to check which fruit machines where available in the various locations. I was fortunate enough to find an unchipped Vivid and although it wasn't full I proceeded to complete the method and made a profit of approximately £20. On the next occasion I entered the pub, six days later, I was told I was banned from playing their fruit machines. This is the first time I've been banned for playing fruit machines in a legal manner.
Is this a common experience and can any of you provide any tactics to deploy to make a ban less likely? (I bought drinks before and after playing the fruit machine but brought in my own float and didn't change any of the winnings, was I just unlucky or could I have done more to avoid a ban?)

I have resorted to bribery in the past(go halves with landlords etc) and even attempted a disguise(didn't work!).
I've just come to the conclusion, after all these years that the whole 'amusement' industry is as crooked and loaded against the players as it can be...one of many reasons I've lost enthusiasm.
The bar worker, told me 'I was banned from playing the machines and it was lucky that I ran after leaving the pub on the first occasion' (apparently somebody was raging that I won-possibly the only person, if any, who knows the method in the pub!?). It seems somebody must have considered it was outrageous that I made a profit from their bandit. I told him that I hadn't done anything illegal and he said, half-jokingly, that 'I must have done something illegal because she(another customer standing at the bar) always plays it and had never taken out what I did'.
In fairness to him at least he didn't bar me from the pub and was fairly pleasant when serving me afterwards. However, it is quite bizzare that some people think that anybody making a profit from a fruit machine even once must be a crook.
The best machines always end up in small private arcades and 'local's' pubs,and you will almost always arouse either suspicion,resentment or jealousy in these places.
I used to play full time and I can't remember the amount of times I was banned from arcades(never did anything illegal) and take-aways(Kebab shops can be real b*stards).
It's more unusual to be banned from pubs,and the big ones are usually a safe bet if you wait until they're busy.Only problem there,those kind of pubs will be getting regularly hit by every other pro in the area.
