Interesting reading recent thread re knocking back IMs on certain Barcrests, and would agree that it was the way to go for Lottaluck, JPoteers, and even Hotstuff & clones.
Bit more dubious about knocking back on Cash Attack/Supercharged... dosnt it cost you an absolute fortune to force an IM on these 2 ?
The way i go is to play for JP from STNW ( obviously if its looking happy-ish to start with ) Once JP achieved, you then need to check the next FOUR boards. Second JP should come from either flashing IM, or it just gives 1/12 on the gambles. IF you get 2nd JP, then check next FOUR boards.
The in-between boards where it is not flashing or 1/12 ing... just take what you can.. usually £2-4 pound. After 4 boards and no JP.... WALK !!!!!
Not knocking the knockback method, just not sure whether the extra time and money needed is justified by the results.
opinions welcome.
Forcing was my only method for these when they first came out.. used to force through like £20 after first IM knockback or so and then it would usualy go mad and go £100+ from winspins and normal JP's
but now I am not so sure seen some versions that suck and suck and wont respond to force.. same as the Big Cheese etc chips..
Appears Barcrest has been spending time making new software for their current machines rather than develop new ones![]()
Why has it come to this?
flatter profiles on machines?
early versions have nice streaks and pots built in (certainly barcrst build the £75 dump into most of their machines) to encourage you to go for big wins. then revisions iron out some of these peaks, not so they dont happen but so they its less frequent
id also say that as machines get more established people learn how to play them better so the chances of finding one thats full to bursting is rarer
