Putting the usual Irish lottery on last Wednesday I put a JP into a FOBT and after 3 bets and 3 helpings of good luck was up to £200. Printed the receipt and went to collect only to find...the fucking bookies didn't have enough money to pay me! What a turn up that was. I laughed all the way out the door but at least I've got that ticket to look forward to cashing on Friday.
On another note...how do you stand with people watching you play FOBT's? It's annoying enough when someone is sniffing your AWP but I'm even less keen on someone watching me stick £100 on red if I want to. |

Only played the FOBTs very occasionally, but had a bad experience the LAST time i played one:-
Covered the same 12 numbers for 15 x £5 spins - how many times did i hit a number ? - NIL It works out as a 357/1 chance against this happening, so either i was very unlucky, or i was swindled by Billy Hills, i know what i think..... It wasnt losing the £75 that pi$$ed me off, it was the seeming inevitability of what was happening. After i calmed down, i realised that it was really a good thing, as i will NEVER play one again. Beware these things are seriously addictive, the ironic thing is that when i used to go to real casinos a lot, i never played roulette.... played 90% blackjack, plus a bit of craps for light relief. Well done on your win kidgloves, dont give it them back !! |

Ive seen aguy put a tenner on 14 and all its splits and it came in, second spin, apparently he had lost £1,500 on internet roulette that morning which my explain why he seemed mildly ammused by the event. Im right arent I, Hi Tecs are moving to extinction, my local arcade is full of low tecs now and whats worse still there all really wide, I used to shy away from BAR-X-5 because I hated that £20 in £5 win, its not full, by law of averages your best off walking away scenario, but know out of 30 machines we have 3 Magic 10's, 2 Tripple xxx, and 2 magic 7's. I know why, because they make the most money, but hell unless I happen upon someone giving up on a full one I get nervous playing them. Out of curiosity I heard if the machines above percentage knocking back holds will result in a better profit?

the increase in low techs is just a reflection of the stupidity of the average gambler these days. the average gambler doesnt want anything complex. he wants a quick fix and hopefully a quick win. although i do believe that the majority of this board is not the average gambler.

I find though if you are playing hi tecs without a decent method or emptier the Lo-tecs do offer the best profit in the shortest time.
