yep - site was mentioned yesterday. praised as a site with decent members and info, unlike Arcadia
perhaps a 10 question test of age and fruitie knowledge (nothing too anal) might help separate the wheat from the chaff?
well said top the lot
one of the questions has to be name one tell tell sign of a chipped vivid machine if you don't know this then get off the fruities
globalrules
Heh out of interest how long dan / topthelot been playing?
Topthelot esp. having lurked in the background for ages he always seems one of most knowledgeable / helpful
ps. been playing only since last summer, but picked up tons from ppl met and stuff from internet
pps. vivids CASH over 25.00....
wavy lines etc
not sure about cliffhanger actually
too long
at age 6 or so i used to press buttons in the local working mans club when my uncle was playing on the £100 JP
by 12 was going to arcades and playing 'tuppenny nudger', 'crack the nut' and 2p 'spoof'. 10p 'line up' and 'hyper viper' if i was flush
by 14/5 was onto '7 heaven', 'nudge nudge wink wink' and 'hit the top'
now i'm 30 and if i was starting out again, i wouldnt. too much effort not enough profit
Heh,I probably started playing around the same time-but I'd have been one of the older teens in the arcade and you'd probably have been one of those pesky little kids watching my every move and giving 'useful' advice.Maybe even shoving tissue paper up the payout chute and grabbing my winnings when I went to get the attendantOriginally Posted by Topthelot

well cheers lads for the help (NOT) its just that no 1 has answered my queston about if a machine is chipped?
A 'chipped' machine is one that has had its software updated to iron out any play faults or bugs etc. in the original program.
Some signs are visual, some you find out by playing the machine (there are of course other ways)
If you don't play machines much or are new to them you wont notice or know how they used to play and in this case it wont make a difference when you play if it is 'chipped' or not.
This does not always mean the machine wont pay out 'good money', just that it will pay it when its new program thinks it should, although lots of revised machines tend to play a lot worse than the original releases (for some strange reason!!??) you can still make money on them, honest!
Confused?? You should be!!
Don't take it to heart, but please heed this warning:Originally Posted by chrizyboy

In either case YOU SHOULD NOT UNDER ANY CIRCUMSTANCES CONTINUE PLAYING FRUIT MACHINES.
Sorry for shouting,but I'm serious.![]()
