I won today on a fixed odds betting terminal. I have had two previous encounters with these...£20 on red each time..both times I won and came off. These encounters have been spread out over the last 6 months. I have read the sob stories and know how much you can and will lose in these nightmare pieces of equipment. So what did I win today?? Well..I couldn't even tell you how I did it...but lets just say I'd rather bang a decent amount on one or two bets...win or lose and have done with it rather than piddle 25p chips away over an hour. So I put £60 on..something...don't know what...just not one number....1st twelve or something like that with odds of 2-1...in span in an 8 so I thought great...£180 with my stake all told. No...the bank shoots upto £540 fucking quid! I'm shitting myself with excitement and also attract the attention of a bloke who congratulates me on my win. He then starts telling me how to do various bets at which point I get a bit lost..cover this cover that and barring a major disaster you'll make a small profit..maybe a big one. I don't really want to get involved with his tactics so oblige him with one or two bets which do actually win then I wind things down with a couple of red/black bets which both win...I end up cashing out for £640. This guy knows the machine so well that when it starts the ball rolling sequence he can tell what number it's going to stop on most of the time, and most of the time he gets it right. Whilst I am well chuffed to be up so much..a part of me now will retain that feeling of elation and I'll have to be very careful not to get sucked into these in the future.

I went trough a long stage of playing these and rarely lost. combination of good luck and the martingale system (dodgy). Got into sticky positions a couple of times and only my BIG float bailed me. I am actually scared of these units now. Its amazing how quickly a few quid flutter can get out of hand -danger.
I have never had an incorrect payment but I found an uncollected reciept for £80 in one.
Have you trial online casino's - their roulette is even more scarey
no magic in knowing where the ball will land fellas, just assess where the zero starts at the beginning of the spin, for example, if the zero is hidden behind the wheel core gold thingie) it will be a three etc
