Just read on arcadier that we could be seeing 50p a credit £50 jackpot machines coming. Have a look it doesnt sound like bull though I have to say that I though £23 is the legal number
not sure how i feel about these has the JP doubles will the hoppers double and go with it to 250 or with a note-acceptor go to 500
but on a good side the streaks could be 150-200 think 50p ago i quite on the high on the ferry to amsterdam last year their was a 50p ago 1000jp on there which i got 50 off of for 3 quid thinking it's best to take 50 off of 3 then try putting more in to get more
i don't think that they will really take off though i mean 25 ain't great but it's a nice chunk of change for 25/30p a pop but 50p for £50 people will just go to club machines i mean 20/25p for 250 with the hoppers about the same

Exactly....if I had the choice between playing 50p £50 or 50p £1000 then it's obvious which one to go for....the club machine will play mostly like it's counterpart most of the time but with the added advantage of higher wins and gamble stakes if you choose to play them that way...50p £50 play mathamatically should play better than 30p £25 but I wouldn't count on it.
Confucius say "man who know wombat know more than stupid looking monkey"
Confucius also say "man who know Kebab has 60 inch waist"
Confucius finally add "man may deal, but man may not 'know' deal"
when they do release 50p £50 versions, they would probably be fitted with club £750 hoppers......be nice if some "glitches" slipped throught the net which enabled a hopper dump![]()

If they want to make them playable again,go back to 10 or 20p stake,£10 JP,high board entry and feature frequency.
Sadly (or gladly??) the golden days of the AWP are long gone.
If you never played original £4.80 JP AWPs you don't really know what they're capable.
You can get an idea from the emulators, but these are nearly all running tight, late chips.
True, the all-cash JP did bring a revival of interest after the switch from £8 token JPs.JPMs on original £10 roms and some early £15 revisions and high% were still highly playable, but it's been downhill ever since.
AWPs are dying, and I hardly think 2 spins for a quid is the way to revive them.
you're spot on slotterman. Even the old £6 machines gave much better board entry and from what I remember less predictable cycles? I may be wrong..they were back in the days when I didnt read them well......
Can still be found in decent 5p acrades...
I trust Scott has been downstairs in Thomas' Leicester? There used to be some cool 5p's down there......
when you think ratio of stake to JP 10p a play JP £5 = 50 plays ratio
30P a play JP £15 = 50 plays ratio
25p a play JP £25 = 100 plays ratio
50p a play JP £25 = 50 plays ratio
Therefore I rekon 50p a play £25 JP will revive the flat games of the moment. Remeber how lame 20p a play £15 Jp games were. Thier worse than that at the moment.
Probablem is when the ask the punters what they want - most say less to play - bigger potential wins.
I reckon the way forward is to have 2 types of games in the pub - a 20p rer play £10JP and a 50p per play £25 JP for the bigger playes. They could pay less tax on the £10JP making them apealing for pubs with 'poor' customers.
the £1000 jackpot machines can hold upto £2000
