My local just swapped from a raise the roof to a ultimo by barcrest. This is strange cos usually they wait at least a couple of months before they change the machines.
Anyway has anyone got any tips for it? I heard it streaks well but I was playing it, it was backing from the start and after £10 still nothing!?!?!?
The barcrest website has nothing on it and neither does any of the paysites.
Cheers
Isn't this one the Revolution clone with a bit more cartoon stlye??
I am sure it plays as badly as the rest of the revo clone crap and I would advise leaving it alone and not even bother with the methods that are around for it like gambling too stepper surprise etc as these methods are likely too result in loses...
I would go find a better machine too play and leave the revo clones too someone else...
Thats just my view
Why has it come to this?
What is the price of play coz it makes a difference to the playability of the machine, and the fact that you can empty 30p play!!
Get back to me
the price of play is 25p with a £25 JP, any good?
cheers
this machine is really random. it wil just offer top feature outta the blue. it can take a lot of money to get this one playin nicely with you
Hmm,there is a method for Ultimo(a variant on Rev/BA),but it can take hours.
Slotter you are right but the machine need to be on 30p play, offers a board approx 1.5 credits earlier than 25p and also averages an extra one step ever board, plus the fact that no matter how far behind the machine is it will not kill on stepped numbers (3/10 or better!)
So sorry that its 25p, but the info about killing on steps will help
even tho the emptier didnt work on 25p play...couldnt you still use some variant of l/h trick on it? I honest cant remember, wont empty but good for some profit
Too many players in my neck of the woods know the basic /rev method,so I don't bother playing them or any of the clones now.
The first time I played Ultimo(when it was on test!) I thought it was crap-it soon became obvious that the standard rev/BA method would not work.
When I finally knew a better method they'd all but vanished.
Wasn't too bothered as I hate getting involved with machines that require lots of nursing.
Look out for those flash holds!
But when Ultimo was on test, it was the first machine to actually feature 25 pounds on the cash, November if I recall, I cant even remember the year machines went to 25 these days, so therefore I thought it was a very good machine to play considering you could get more than 15 on the coins on the coins, which was quite hard I must admit, I think I had 18 or 19 at most, it was good at playability, it came around the Rev and BA MTR was dying down, but it was still a good machine, if you knew about steps then you would make alot, as it did get pumped, the main problem was that the top feature was a minimum of 15, until they put on final release, after the 25 jp m/c's were released, then it went for 25 at least, and on occasion 15 as I recall, but as Zorro says they are good, Last time I was with him it was very good in that Arcade with Beaver Las Vegas (or Clone), a cheeky off/on and we were laughing!!! Steps mean everything, think about Golden Dragon, dead on a step to a 2 or dying on a 2 when going higher, this wouldnt happen (well on the odd occasion) on an ultimo.
