wasnt there something on these before so that you could freeze the program (timer)... pushing the screen in a few places (obviously the screen can only register a push in one location but so I dunno why you have/had too cover a large area) and insert a coin or something and it would freeze up for like 30 seconds.. ?
Not really sure but I am sure I have seen it done before on some touch screen gambling machine
Why has it come to this?
