i guess this is about the superhold trick on BFM machines?

OK - firstly, the chances of it working are small, this was a critical fault and rechips were issued to correct it. However it did work on certain versions of

lord of the rings 1
lord of the rings 2
cop the lot
snake rattle & roll
(possibly a few others)

basic trick is that - due to sloppy coding - its possible to trick a JP out of the superhold feature. Its easy to do and to see if your particular machine has the bug

get superhold (randomly awarded in normal play on most machines, 3 rd feature on srr). reels step up and down
when reels have stepped to the bottom hold all three
press cancel then VERY QUICKLY press a hold button
if its not chipped then the other two reels will slip one or two symbols.
repeat until all the JP symbols are in view
put them on winline
press start
jackpot

machine will know its paid out a JP (its not a free win in that sense) but cant avoid paying it out

The most annoying thing about this trick when it was rife was finding a machine where some of the buttons were 'stuck down' be it from beer or dodgy contacts which made the trick hard to pull off. Worth carrying a small bottle of white spirit and a couple of tissues when there were enough to do.

i had one a few weks back before the pub got refurbished and machine changed.....actually asked the barman for a cloth to clean the cancel button with . Then got 75 by gettin 3 supers in 4 quid!!! bet he wasnt happy ha ha ha (unchipped cop the lot btw)
