Hi guys, been reading the old posts about this machine. Is it still worth playing for the Locohold or gambling up to it from STNW? And would the same method work for a £25 Golden Dragon/ £15 Battle Axe? Any help would be most appreciated.
yes
its easier on GD BA - remembner to step on and off of bonuses to boost the stacks. 3 steps or more is a good sign
...at home. It is really not worth playing on the prog version I had (1.4 I think). Best method was to actually force out a red top feature for £50. But rarely results in a profit. The recycle thing that people keep going on about rarely does the job.
Best leave all these rev clones IMO. I suspect S&P and fireball is the same. Keep hearing rumours if an emptier though, but I am scared to chase this as after having GD at home I know what an absolute arse these Barcrest numbers are.
These machines are for pro's only, and frankly I wonder whether many pros could reliably make any money of GD/revs.
yep - there were bugs in some early versions but VERY few around now
it is possible to make profit off of locohold on GD, BA and stepper surprise on the newer DnP & FB but only by a quick JP steal. very careful play allows you to SOMETIME get 2 JPs (taking £3 wins when JP not given) but its dangerous stuff for an extra £10
cant get it to streak off these PERIOD
There seems to be 4 main ways of playing rev and clones.
1.play safe,taking what comes
2.force out the top
3.push for high wins.
4.a subtle mixture of the above
I assume everyone knows about the 'safe' gambles and when to use steps.
I won't pretend to be a real expert on these, but the key to playing was largely to do with steps and getting the '4' bonus buzzed up,afaik.
I believe you could originally empty these but only because certain wins were 'free' except when coming from or triggering the streak.
Therefore you had to do a juggling act not to kill it off... anyone know what I'm on about![]()
dev001: I have recently had a GD move in to a local pub and I can assure u that 75 comes out every time I play it each week... recycling and forcing 4 a good step board is the key and then getting a jp with a decent bank, and then the streak...
ur lucky then just, cos the GD i play gives the 25 then drops stone dead every time, i have never had one streakin, tho I have with battleaxe etc
you hit a GD every week for 75?!Originally Posted by Justanewone

after the JP you get the streak - i find that impossible since the JP will set the streak back unless it immediately follows the first JP
also, building up a bank will set machine back if you collect wins over £3
or am i very wrong here? would appreciate the full method you employ
... the machine did very occasionally streak to balance the percentage (I always note and meter cash in/out on any machines I have at home), which can be £80-£100. This was paid in 3 staggered top features with some decent wins inbetween.
Seemed to happen every 2-3K through the machine. No way reliable to deploy in the field.
In all othercases, I've never seen the top feature do more than £50.
gotta agree with that
i'm making easy cash on 4/5 dnp fireballs in pubs 10 minutes from me but oinly from single jp rips every 2 days. anthing else is not possible as far asi can make out
