Well it is obvious most stuff on machines is predetermined and I dont even need to mention the blocks on most machines are £7, £10, £15 etc etc..
This of course is unfair and it needs to be properly regulated as basically machine engineers can do just about what ever they want as long as they stick to the few fixed legal requirements and there is not many of them as most stuff is 'guidelines'...
However, look at the other side.. if a machine was to make everything random then the machine would be even harder to profit from as it would likely change from credit to credit.. amounts it gets up to etc.. Of course if you then start to base things on its set percentage it is no longer truly random as each credit that goes in the current payout percentage will change slightly.. if you know what I mean
All in all somethings need to be changed to make some companies machines stop ripping so much from casual players..
For example how many times do you see this:
Player bangs in £5 to get a board.. press.. one nudge.. press +1 cash (now at £1.20).. press.. Question Mark.. Lose.. *sigh*..
Why has it come to this?
if i dont do anything will i miss out on a free tenner?
smoke me a kipper, i'll be back for breakfast
The point seems to be that all the rules and regulations are there to protect the operators.
There's no protection for punters, and that can't be right.
I think the stuff about hi-los being rigged should be seen as a way to give 'mr average casual player' something he can understand with ease, and get the campaign noticed.
Seems to be working...
If you play machines you should support it.

forgetting the stuff about random machines (crap for manufactorers, crap for players) the idea seems spot on
digitally displayed percentages (if its set that way it should be displayed that way) and a higher minimum (70% is fucking theivery) are 2 incredibly easy ways to make life for players a whole lot easier
Does the FP site actually ask for randome machines?
I don't think it does.
What they're asking for is random gambles within the framework of percentage control-something totally different.AFAIK.
Classic JPMs were fairly close to this.
Got to be honest,I'm almost beyond caring:I contributed a few thoughts in various places(such as rcadia) about why fairplay is a good thing, but the response of so-called players was in the main so inane and ignorantly self-centered that I could hardly believe it.

thats the sound of a nail being hit on the head there by slotterman
couldnt agree more about arcadia. its home to more addicts and fools than all other sites put together but what happens when a basically good idea comes along - they slag it off in a rush to prove whos the biggest pro and doesnt need any regulatory help. apart from daren, graham and a few old heads its over run by complete pricks
i hate playing new JPMS - too much effort, too difficult to read IMHO (i admit it i cant win on 'em!). but the old 'uns were great - genuine skill elements, hard to crack but worth it. and if its a choice between them and yet another progressive profile BFM or dull as ditchwater Barcrest then give me JPM circa 4/5 yrs ago any day
as i understand it the campaign is calling for LED displayed %age, a higher minimum %age, and far more honest statements about how an AWP operates - who can possibly complain about that?
Also, no under 18's - which i totally agree with as well
i totally support the fp, wot about a true hi-lo gamble or true skill that dont pop up so much instead of loads of them being thrown at us resulting in not gambling because we all know if we push it we will lose 70% of the time? More people should know about this web site because JPM's are turning into money macking machines for the supplier and not fun entertainment for the player who is the customer. It hasent been resent that i walked away with a smile on my face and not even been going for big wins just a little past time and my money back not appy! bring back the bandit!
but wise err err err
