This just came in...kitted out as a Global with their logo everywhere and on JP symbols...I played it warily watching for the profile changes as I expected there to be but it seems exactly the same as Impulses origional...I don't see the point in a company buying exactly the same machine off someone else and putting their logo on it....apart from Impulse making a wad of cash off the rights.
so its still playing ok then KG??
Pesos must be due a re-glass soon, probably going a whole circle back to LOTR....but this time to "Return Of The King" of course![]()
Global probably just can't be arsed, so just (like you say) payed Impulse a wad and covered it in different stickers

why can no one try sopmething origional?
Even if it was just on test (and failed) but some company should try.
Disclaimer: If anyone from Bell Fruit reads this ignore this message because you think 3 images in view to get on a board is origional.

Company's do try new machines all the time, but as you say most fail at the first hurdle. Not so much because the core players don't like them but more because the casual £3 punters don't like them. Inevitably they find one that people are happy with and procede to reglass it to death.
I have to agree though, it is time someone tried something new.

I saw a Hurricane about a year ago with Global displayed where you would expect Impulse. Very strange. Seemed to play no different from an Impulse badged version either. I thought 'Double or Quits' from a few years back looked fairly original but spoiled it by having ? marks which brought easy death. Just as well you could have about 5 extra 'lives'.Originally Posted by kidgloves

..do rebuilds of Impulse's PYP and Wildfire, although I've never seen one out in the field. Apparently Global have some alliance with the Maygay group. Very incestuous this industry isn't it?
