Ok i actually have quite a bit of experience when it comes to SWPs

I run a round operating a millionaire Gamebox 6, a hangman and a normal millionaire.

its fair to say the gamebox 6 takes the most money because there are lots more games on it. also for people saying that they have never seen anyone get the 1mill questions on millionaire, on the leader board on my other millionaire 7 people have got it (probably because they play it that often......time too swap machines round me thinks!)

as for hangman, its total luck, some questions can be totally insane, things like where is the native language of tapio still spoken? haha like anyone KNOWS that (unless your a very clever guy or happened to read it )
hangman is still very popular though, because it tends to give out small cash prizes on the ?? icon's.

as for a win percentage, they dont work like that as such. the float starts at £70, if someone takes out £10, then the machine may be a little tight, giving harder questions (questions have a hardness number from 1-20 on some machines, thus why you always get a easy question on start of millionaire), and giving you less time to decided. how ever if it is full and it has taken a lot of money it will tend to give you easier questions for more points (in the case of hangman).

if anyone needs any points just drop me a pm i will be glad to help!

p.s. not giving out databases though

in the scream (yellow card) pub we frquent most lunchtimes there is one of those linked millionaire machines. the one with two machines that has a pot of up to £1000. the bastard landlord has won the grand about 4 times in the last 6 months. he admits he waits till its on 980 or so and then brute forces coins thru it (pot goes up 10p for every £1 inserted and every correct question.). once it reaches the thou all the questions are piss easy he said. just a matter of timing. unfortunately he has all the timing in the world as once it gets to the 980 or above he puts out of order sign on it and plays when the pub shuts.

on an unrelated note the makers got stung with the first millionaire machine as there were only a few (relatively speaking) qn's in the data base which weren't updated for months so for the swp pros (they do exist, seen them in action, it is awesome they knew what to choose from the answer didn't even look at the questions) it was easy money. now apparently there are 30,000 qn's which are updated regularly.

cfdu - what that landlord is doing is bloody outrageous !!!! Cant you report him to the area manager or something ?

Is it the Scream pub at Perry Barr, near One Stop centre ? ( drive past there quite often, but not been in for ages )

Personally i dont play SWPs much, though did get the £20 JP out of a WWTBAM a few months ago -dead chuffed i was, and felt like i'd achieved something, in contrast to the grind of making profit on current fruities...

£20 Q was something about a pre-historic tiger, and somewhere in the deepest, darkest rescesses of my brain i had SMILODON....think it was from collecting those cards you used to get in packets of PG Tips LOL

I am aware of someone from the London area who hits these things all over the country in a similar fashion to the above.

Basically he has contacts who pass the word of when the JP is on £1000 and travels to hit it. Apparently he will travel anywhere and it costs him anything up to £300 to get it.

Not bad for £700 a time though!

used to luv playing the weakest link and millionaire during my breaks in work. they were outside tesco in the shoppin centre, once completed weakest link and my prize was a measly fuckin £8. they were removed though, the security guards on night shift used to play them all nite from start to the finish of their shift, so on a sat morn during 1st break £5-10 quid was gauranteed.

to be honest, that landlord has got it sorted!

comon if you could do the same wouldnt you?

To be honest i know about 50% of the questions if not more on 2nd edition of millionaire, (the GB6 ones are updated every comple of months), and it makes my personal profits higher if i go on a machine and take JP out of it before i empty it.

    if you could, you would

in reply to the question about payout %,

the machine can aim to have a payout of 30,35,40,45,50 %

but if people know the answers then this Aim is failed.

its a way of telling us owners when to move the machine arround,
if the actual payout % is at 70 then people are getting too clever

when it gets higher up it wont offer bonuses as much
