Just askin the forum when the best time, in their opinion was for fruit machines for playability etc. Mine was in the late nineties, with the first crop of jpm and maygay machines, which I did win from but more important were a lot fairer i.e, you could survive a lower than an eleven!! Any opinions?

I first played FMs in the mid 90s. You were right about them being a lot fairer. I can't think of a machine at that time that screwed so easily on Hi-Los. They also had skill features that could pay out big like 'Skill Stopper' on Hyper Viper, 'Skill Climb' on Stairway to Heaven and 'Test your Strength' on Roller Coaster. The only bad thing about older machines was that you could get 'death' on the first spin of a board.

Nowadays machines (unless they have programming slip ups) don't give any advantage to someone who's good at skill, and of course hi-los are a LOT more brutal than they were 7 years ago. There have been good machines in recent years but they're few and far between.
    Don't say 'si'. Say 'oui'.
