OK, ive worked out it's a chipped machine, but does anyone have any general tips for this machine? Maybe a guide?
I know it's an old machine, but I goto uni near to a pretty old arcade, and I'm fairly sure their version of SRnR might be unchipped. How will I be able to tell? Is the best way just to try and get the superhold feature and see?

I would challenge anyone to find one in an arcade that isnt chipped! Anyway, this machine is standard BFM fare i.e it is a 5 quid jackpot except for once every 3 months when it is a 25 jackpot! Ways to tell if it going is to see if it will let you up to 5 pounds (green bars) on the cash ladder, or let you nudge them thru the nudge ladder. Only ever do this when machine is backing or you could chuck up to a hundred away! If it is full and letting you get to 5, the next block is 7 then 10, then finally the jackpot whatever that is either 15 or 25. You will find it kills you from 7 to 10 even on easy numbers, and then 10 to the jackpot for a lot longer! You will find it takes longer to drop the block at 10 if it is 25 than 15. Once you get the jackpot, (assuming it is full and a 25 jp machine) you should be about even, then hope that the next entry to the board sets of the streak which can go for up to 60 more. THIS IS NOT A GUARANTEE as somethimes its streak pot will not be filled enough and it wont streak (usually the case in arcades). If you havent got that sort of cash to spend, just play it for low wins and you might get up to 15 in front that way. generally DO NOT PLAY IF EMPTY or you will be a poorer student than now! lol
