Well? They seem too good to be true, and probably are. Anyone tried one? 100 odd quid is a lot to risk on a lump of plastic that might end up doing nothing.

If they worked 100% or even 20% of the time then you would have seen a lot more posts on this topic and even gaming companies acting to stop the situation. As there isn't this evidence then it is safe to say they are not worth the industries attention and are therefore insignificant or in other words..not worth the money.

...actually taken apart a fruit machine and seen the path that the coins go in/out of the machine from the coin mech? The company that makes the machine cabinets and the coin mech manufacturer have designed them to ensure around this scam.

I guess there will always be the odd machine that U can get these things to work on, but you are going to stand out like a sore thump trying to get the thing to work so expect that tap on the shoulder from the bouncer as you are trying to align the unit when the coins go in/out of the machine.
You are probably better off getting a Genesis II, Epoc, etc. top cabinet key and cheekily opening the top of machines to view the hopper balance, long/short term percentages [on machines that support this] or simply just do the calc from the meters.

NOTE: Both these methods are highly illegal and I strongly advise against them, but the second one is how some Pros survive these days.

They did appear in Coinslotter magazine, who were claiming to have prevented their sale on ebay but not his site. So the industry must have concerns. I wouldn't risk getting caught with one, for wahtever rewards I could gain.
