When owner empties machine it is the box at the bottom which collects the coins that pass through when the hopper is full or that the machine does not use to pay out ie £2 coins or silver.

By refilling it he basically fills the hopper to the top or to a high level so that you put money in and it falls into the profit box and you think it is "backing" and therefore ready to pay out - wrong !!

The % payout is determined by the machine calculating how much it has taken in and how much in winnings it has paid out to achieve its % setting ie 78%. This however caan be spread over many days/hours and over many £'s ie £5k in £3,900 out over a week still makes mr owner £1,100 better off yet does pay out its %.
