if the stake select button is still enabled then you could be onto a good thing. If its"broken" then been fixed and back to basic skill/luck for profit.
ive even seen some with the stake button glued down![]()

I know this method is gonna sound a complete load of bullplop... but it DOES work on the 1st version of Royle Family (late 2001/early 2002)... The version where you can change the stake. If you have a Royle Family machine with no 'stake change' option/button then the emptier will NOT work. good luck!
The Method
Forget the feature completely, play the reels on 20p PLAY using TWENTY PENCE PIECES ONE AT A TIME. Play for 3 HOLDS on the CHERRIES, when you get the THIRD HOLD you will get a SKILL STOP on the REEL. Stop this on the YELLOW BAR. Leave the machine and let it revert back to 30p stake (remember one coin at a time!).
Insert 20p, change the stake twice and HOLD the YELLOW BAR and a symbol on one of the OTHER REELS and press START. You will have a skillstop so hit the YELLOW BAR on that reel. Leave the machine revert back to 30p play. Insert a 20p coin and change the stake twice, now hold the 2 YELLOW BARS and press START you have a skillstop for £10.
Wait again (for about 20 seconds) insert another 20p and hold 2 YELLOW BAR reels - press start and skillstop for another £10 - repeat till empty
PS - this method works on unchipped HILO WATHA with 'change stake' option.

As far as i know, there is a proper rechip and there is a quick 'fix'.
The quick fix disables the change stake button.
The rechip enables change stake but simply stops the reel from holding after it defaults back to 30p stake.
Surely nobody has still got one that 'goes' have they?![]()
If it`s a 25p play then just play 25p at a time when you get a win put in 25p more and it will hold (it wont flash but it does) easy way to empty it but dont be silly cos you`ll get sussed and they will change it asap.
