can anyone find a hilowatha thats still got the change stake butttons activated, seems they've all been done around here!

they don't need a re-chip if you cant change stake anyway!

know the trick does work though!

Oki let me tell you the way I used to play these.. I know some people will say it is unneeded to spend so much.. and they are of course right but I used to be a impatient and busy person

    1) Play through about £10 to get it offering £2+ wins easily
    2) GEt about £5 in 20p's
    3) do the skillstop cherries/bars
    4) Empty it :P

There is not really any need to waste the £10 but it does save time and there is no real need to be greedy.

I doubt you will find an unchipped one anyways they all went out a couple of years back as far as I know...

you are not wasting to £10 anyway if you empty the machine-you will get it back!

Yeah but some peeps are very very greedy..

You put in £5 and get £125 or do as I did and put in £10 and get £125 and save some time.. some people would be fussy about the £5 trust me..

Why has it come to this?

I used to put up to £50 in to see if they were backing and then I could caculate what was left in the hopper-if not backing assume they'd been done.
You can also usually a tell a hopper is getting low when it makes a churning sound-so you can collect £3 at a time until you hear the hopper struggling-stick about £10 back in and play it normally for a bit (leave enough in to make sure it doesn't IOU for the next punter).

tbh i don't think it matters how much you put into a machine if you have an emptier. i just keep putting in coins till 1 drops, whilst building the bank at the same time just not letting it get to the limit so it drops coins out. then you can count coins to make sure you don't iou and leave enuf for the machine to pay any wins while it recovers. if its a genuine mtr you will get back what you put in + whatever profit was in there. by not iou the machine will stay for longer and over time you will make more than if you iou it once and it gets moved on. but as slotterman said some people are very greedy and want it all at once, although this is getting back to the question of whether or not to iou machines which is not what i was aiming at.
