On much older machines It was sometimes in the Display where it shows the Cash amount ect. certain programs Displayed different text.
But nowadays it gets harder to spot unless your a quick learner.
Some of the more kinder punters do mark some machines as with the classic " ARCADIA " X marks the spot scenario where people would put an X on the machine to let you know it was a Re - Chip.
As for nowadays it's more Just Luck if you've got An original program .

I don't know of any machines that put chip versions on the actual glass, but there are often subtle changes in the attract mode/sound samples/win values/feature 'enhancements' &c.It depends entirely on the manufacturer and the machine.
Keep your eyes open, you never know what you might spot.
There is/was an easy way to tell vers, but someone blabbed on the net and now the manus in question have made it void in most cases.Loose lips and al that.
BTW, Triton,I just noticed that you(or someone using your name?) posting for tips on JPM's own site.A manufacturers site, that is.
Do you think that's wise?

Maybe not! but it's hardly a tip . If i learn something it's either because I've worked it out for myself or someone's been kind enough to drop me a PM but apart from that I keep the really good methods i know To PM's with people who already know this sort of stuff.
But i know what your saying, if certain info gets about machines get Chipped quicker than ever.
But i would never dream of posting an emptier of any use but the odd bit of general help i think is perfectly fine.
