Well..an interesting day. The Bar x brigade were out in force and the relevant chips were 'frying' as it were. 3hrs playing the O's and X's and Bars saw a £140 profit thanks to the last 2 exibar chipsets. I drove home but at last minute decided to visit the local backstreet arcade from hell...as I entered expecting the usual relics to play I was greeted with the sight of 3 brand new machines in their wrappers waiting to be installed. Casually I asked the woman on the change desk about them and she said they were going to be set up in the next couple of hours. I noticed the gleam, the shine of the unscratched cabs...the UNPLAYED cabs...the percentage chip crying to level itself out so I dug myself in on the cheapest longest play machine I could find. True to her word the engineer arrived and an hour or so later everything was go go go. Machine 1 was a GRIDRUNNER £25..didn't even think they made these anymore but it took just £17 to get 3 JP boards. Machine 2 was a Temple of Treasure and 15 mins playing saw two red reels of fortune, one normal temple of treasure for £30 and one barcode..nice. Machine 3 was an impulse Geronimo which I was wary of because the are shit..but hey I was winning so I punted a £10 or so before the JP arrived off hi/lo to top of cash trail...I'll never see that again.
All in all a good day at the office...apart from a Viva Rock Vegas that reset on me (not ram sadly) with a £30 bank in it but the good lady payed up anyway.
